I like to tighten the nut first, then install the screws. This helps minimize stress on the wood around the screw holes. Nice looking tuners!

@@SearchingForTone nice Guitar! Those are nice tuners, I don’t know if you know this or not, but Guyker tuners are made in Korea by Gotoh. You should notice the resemblance to Gotoh’s made in Japan. @MashaT224 ай бұрын
None of your guitars has locking tuners? Well, when you do, your new handle will have to change to @ilikeblackguitarswithlockingtuners - seems appropriate! 😂😂😂 My friend has an SE with PRS locking tuners and an Epiphone LP Modern with Grover locking tuners. As her slave with benefits, I like them because it makes changing strings much faster. Not necessary, but nice to have. Honestly, day to day, the Ratio branded tuners that came on my own acoustic guitar make more of a difference because that makes dialing in the tuning a breeze and it takes less turns to get there. So if I had to pick Ratio vs locking, I’d argue the Ratio gear heads are the best. Best of both worlds are Ratio Locking tuners - that would rock to have. Problem is the price on Ratio Locking tuners is high. If a brand like Guyker had something comparable for less money, that’s a win! The only thing that isn’t the same is that Ratio’s ratio for each gear head is different. Most copies have all 6 tuners set at 18:1. Ratio makes sure that it takes less turns for each string as the gauges get thinner or thicker from 12.1 to 39.1 on a six string guitar. That said, I’d love to see a brand like Guyker do that at a more budget friendly price. Thanks to Guyker for helping this channel out! You guys rock!

What’s going on fellow tone chasers! These were not out when I bought a new set of tuners for my strat build. I ended up getting a set of mini 18:1 ratio tuners but I plan on getting a set of these to replace them down the road (considering they were about the same price). Thanks for the review Brian, until next time, get naked, get your shred on, and keep it bluesy.

I just installed a set on my SG. One thing to be aware of if you're doing 3 a side is that the holes on an SG style guitar do need to be redrilled to 10mm from the standard 9mm. It's a little more awkward than they would have you believe.
