I recently bought a Epiphone SG special and I'm thinking of buying Guyker tuners , Cherry to match my Guitar, just a beginner but this was a suggestion and I'm thinking of taking it to Guitar center to change them since they're only a couple blocks away. It looks easy but I don't want to take any chances and wreck it . Thanks for the post. 👍

I have tried two sets of locking Guyker tuners off of Amazon. I wasn’t impressed but at least they were cheaper than hip shots. Looking at their website, it looks like the have some expensive tuners but I am a little weary now.

With locking locking tuners, it seems like it's buy-cheap, get-cheap. I've bought some cheap locking tuner sets from Amazon before too and they were garbage. These seem to be much, much better quality than those.

not gonna lie, but the barrel tuner should be the standard!!! I LOVE that! I will say the D'Addario locking tuner with the built in string cuter is amazing.

I sig the barrels too. I think I'd like them just a little shorter, but that might make it difficult for folks with bigger fingers. I've never tried the D'Addario tuners, but I've heard good things.

Is the amount of string you left on the tuner enough to try drop tuning (say D or G)? It would be great not having to spin the tuner for 10 minutes taking up slack. Cheers.

You can do drop D with the amount I left on there. If you;re tuning to G, you're going to want to start at a much lower tuning with a heavier string. I had an Iron Label Ibanez baritone with locking tuners that was tuned to B. Sometimes you just have to leave a little more string on it or start the string hole at about 2 or 3 o'clock.

@@Guitarnivore I purchased Grover locking tuners yesterday, boy it is so much easier. I left about an inch of slack for drop tuning. Cheers.

Dude that brass color is just WRONG! I'd change that stuff out and get something that doesn't look like it belongs on a Chibson.😂😢😮😅

I think it's because it's machined aluminum and there might not be a way to match it perfectly, but it's really not that bad under normal light. Half gold hardware on this guitar is aging differently than the rest and kind of matches. ttps://instagram.com/p/C-0z4PAyk7T/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
