Thanks for sharing & explaining how to do this layering technique. As a beginner I am struggling with doing it & I have just found out why. I was going in the wrong direction with the choices. I agree with you that they need to put arrows for the directions. Gorgeous looking work. This is the box set that I got for my first stamping kit.

That's what I always do, shiney quickdry or no smudge, then matte. Matte black stamping polish is a tough one to keep from smudging.

I only saw it when I went on FB with my tablet, cuz I have ad blockers and FB Purity so on laptop/desktop I wouldn't have seen it. It also gave me the excuse to buy a few clearance things I'd been eyeing since I was already paying shipping. I definitely considered both those plates you got. I think I'm a crabby pants, my boyfriend disagrees lol. And I love the design you did with the other plate...kind of like Moroccan tile. Also wanted to tell you, I used IBD builder gel on my wrecked monocle stamper. It actually cleared up some spots so I can see through it better! I used enough to make it level out let it sit, tilted it to move it around, let it sit some more lol. I used a no wipe top coat next so I didn't have to use alcohol. On the new stamper I just did 1 coat of top coat. Might do another but I'm nearly out and can't afford any more right now.

This look is beautiful, but I think I will be trying it making a decal on a mat as it's just too hard on a curved nail. Plus if I make a mistake I won't have to start the whole mani over. That starts to get frustrating the 3rd or 4th time around. By then, I just say it's good enough and then be proud of my crappy nail art.
