Kind of wish people were talking more about the cat calling thing in the comments. Because what claudia & kennedy were saying is sooo true. Woman ARE NOT flattered when you cat call them or say things like "hey, you're so beautiful" It's uncomfortable and creepy, but yall dudes are like "hey, it's a compliment. You should be happy I'm calling you beautiful." JUST STOP EDIT* Obviously there's a difference between a well intended and sincere way of saying "you're beautiful" for the purpose of making someone feel good, and an obviously creepy sexualized way of saying/yelling out "you're beautiful" when you walk by. Those are two completely different scenarios with different intentions. "You're beautiful" was just a random, more modest, example of something a cat caller would yell out. (And the circumstances very. Cause i'm sorry but a 14 year old girl doesn't need some 45 year old man yelling out, "you're beautiful")
@tiaanmare4 жыл бұрын
I feel like if a guy said you are beautiful in a respectable and non sexualized way most woman would appreciate it.

@AFGThugonomics9 Hey news flash: Not all women are the same. Obviously some women are gonna like it if the cat caller is attractive but that doesn't speak for everyone. And that Definitely doesn't give anyone the right to cat call women just because there's a slim chance she's one of the ones who like it. I wouldn't care if the dude looked like brad pitt, don't fucking cat call me.

@elmaistrodeteotihuacan3 жыл бұрын
@@strangelyfamiliar1729 no, it's mostly something to do with youth, i've met several young girls and boys who act exactly like her in more situations than this one, she's very similar to a lot of young people i've met in many ways; it's partly because they believe other people don't know these things, so they see it as a moment to teach something and feel good from having others learn from her, it's only partly to look good, and most of it's also to find release from being upset in general; in her case, with this particular subject of prostitutes, she's also fueled by the fact that she's insecure as a girl and tends be pro female to a degree that's usually disproportionate to the situation (in the sense that it's mostly just anti-male; the same happens to boys with overtly pro-male attitudes, who just become anti-female), as seen in several of their other vlogs and videos, where she becomes legitimately angered at even the rare soft jokes that make a reference to genders, but only if they reference her own gender as the funny part; this same method for releasing stress, when taken to extremes, can eventually lead to what's popularly called toxic masculinity or toxic femininity; both sides result from the same reasons, with more extreme degrees of insecurity; if you've ever bumped into non-ironic "alpha male" or "destroying toxic masculinity" groups or channels, you'll see examples of these extreme cases; this girl's not at that point and probably won't be if her life goes well and she keeps maturing, but for now that's where that part of her personality comes from

So a couple months ago when I was leaving my boyfriend's house I went to get gas before driving home cause it was a 3 hour trip and this older guy at the pump in front of me was staring at me the whole time. He was sitting in his car watching me from his side mirror and then when he did pull away he just waited around the corner for me to leave so that he could follow me. I had to go a completely different way to avoid him. I've had people stalk me and at one point I had to run to someone else for protection cause I knew I was in danger. Guys just don't get it, it's absolutely terrifying to have someone come up to you like that and not take no for an answer. I've had a time where I was laying on the beach enjoying a rare day off and two guys come up to me and talk to me about how hot I am and what they'd do to me if I was their girlfriend. The worst part is I had to smile and nod cause they were drinking and I didn't know how they'd act if I outright told them no. It's so hard being a female in a male dominated world.

I feel that women overall have it harder and not just because we are expected to have our nails and hair done, but also because for generations women were so oppressed and were not allowed to vote or get the same level of education as a man or get a job in some cases. And still today in some countries females are not allowed to drive or just simply live, in fact, female genital mutilation is still a massive issue that is still not outlawed in many countries. Also as women, we are constantly being objectified or undermined by men in business or just in life because they think that all we are, or all we should be is housewives or "dishwashers" or a sexual object when in reality we have brains and souls and were more than just a body that's made to please men. And I don't think that men don't have it hard after all men do have higher suicide rates compared to women for many reasons and it is so sad that men don't want or don't feel comfortable talking about their emotions because most of the time they are immediately shut down because that's "manly" enough. At the end of the day we are all human and we all struggle no matter what gender and I think that we should all just appreciate each other. (Sorry for such a long comment :///)

The Patriarch have you ever had someone touch you without consent? Have you ever been yelled at by creepy people? Have you ever had to shake off your pain because people say its “not that bad?” Have you ever been charged more for a product because of your sex? Have you ever had to wear a mini diaper for a week and be scared of getting blood on your clothes? Have you ever been told you couldn’t wear something because it was too distracting? Have you ever worked harder than someone but paid less? Have you ever had to watch around you to make sure you weren’t attacked? Have you ever been judged because you don’t cover your ‘faults’? Have you ever been scared to say no because you might be killed? Have you ever had to take a longer way home because of creeps following you? Have you ever had to talk to random people to escape someone following you? Have you ever had to carry around pepper spray to fight off creeps? Have you ever been objectified? Have you ever had to buy a taser because you were scared for your life? Have you ever had to go to a strangers house to get away from someone? Do you have to come home before dark because you might get assaulted? Did your teachers tell you to prevent yourself from getting raped and assaulted when they don’t even mention it to other kids in your class? Have you ever not had control over your medical decisions? I am not saying men don’t have it hard. I am not saying women are better. I am not saying this doesn’t happen to men. I am saying this happens to women. I am saying this happens to me. I am saying this happens to my mother. I am saying these problems need to be acknowledged and acted on by men, women, and all genders. I agree honestly. Men do have it hard. They can’t show their emotions. They get judged for being “girly”. They have to deal with problems too. I am saying women are treated badly. I am saying this needs to change.

Rare Gem I understand and sympathize with you however women also have sensitive organs like breasts. Getting hit in the breast causes a LOT of pain . Also periods last days and cramps get multiple cramps a day. Getting hit in the balls is painful and unnatural however it’s very hard to be sanitary when you are on your period. You can’t just change your sanitary product whenever you want most of the time you are at school. 1:48 I mean, when you think about it, no woman or man can truly find out if it’s harder to be a man or a woman because they’ve never been any other sex than their own. I don’t think anyone should make an assessment on “who’s gender has it harder” because they can’t be any other sex than their own. Transgenders are a different story, because even if a man transitions into a woman, they still will not be able to experience menstruation or birthing a baby-(which are two arguments brought up constantly among females). Emotionaly speaking, men are told constantly ever since childhood to hide their emotions and “be a man”. Because of this, suicide rates in men is exponentially higher than in females. Females constantly get belittled and underestimated simply because they are females. It’s an interesting topic to me. Personally, I feel like we have other issues to worry about now than to see “who has it worse”. I don’t think anyone should be able to determine that, unless you can do the impossible which is to switch chromosomes, then I don’t think either sex deserves much of an argument on this subject.

Man don't have all this shit to do and when they don't talk but kill themselves it's really their fault cause the could've talked if they had the balls for doing it. @@laurahundsdorfer6570 im guessing youre prolly young as hell gurl. I hope your opinion changes over time. Mens suicide rate results because of multiple reasons, not just hiding their emotions. Believing that 2/3 of all suicides are done by men not because of society and other circumstances, but because they are "weak" is just wrong in so many ways. And also "what happens when a girl gets raped by a man? Her life is completely destroyed" Yes it is, theres no doubt but what is your point??? There are ways to ruin a mans life aswell for example charging rape accusations against an innocent man. Even if the case is dropped, if its somewhat public the mans life is pretty much over. Im not saying men or women have it worse, as theres no way you could possibly say that without experiencing the other gender, which u cant. And I know that today society has changed, but this is still a struggle for women in this country and in others. i'm not trying to be mean, its just that i wish they would use the platform to do fun things and at the same time to say something meaningful.
@dannyatthedisco23974 жыл бұрын
To say something about this topic you must have some examples of how women are oppressed and silenced in the USA? Women in my country have equal rights and my country isn't even as developed as the USA, UK, Germany, Ireland, France, etc. If you want to make a change for women you should be fighting for countries where there is actual sexism happening like in muslim countries, but if you continue to complain about miniscule things, which I don't even know what you could complain about, all I get from your personality is that you don't do anything worthwhile with your life therefore you have no experience in anything. People who do nothing with their lives will always find something to complain about because their life isn't fulfilled, just look at incels, haters on the internet, and so on.
