I hate the response of the women when asked why it is more difficult to be a woman. I mean, women have always been oppressed, silenced and abused. And I know that today society has changed, but this is still a struggle for women in this country and in others. i'm not trying to be mean, its just that i wish they would use the platform to do fun things and at the same time to say something meaningful.
@dannyatthedisco23974 жыл бұрын
To say something about this topic you must have some examples of how women are oppressed and silenced in the USA? Women in my country have equal rights and my country isn't even as developed as the USA, UK, Germany, Ireland, France, etc. If you want to make a change for women you should be fighting for countries where there is actual sexism happening like in muslim countries, but if you continue to complain about miniscule things, which I don't even know what you could complain about, all I get from your personality is that you don't do anything worthwhile with your life therefore you have no experience in anything. People who do nothing with their lives will always find something to complain about because their life isn't fulfilled, just look at incels, haters on the internet, and so on.

@juliab42224 жыл бұрын
My periods used to last for two to three months at a time, I would go through at least ten tampons in a day.... I had full body cramps, hot flashes, dizzy spells, my hands and arms would go tingly, migraines, perineum pain.... I would throw up constantly. And I still went to classes and still did marching band and musicals, the only difference was I got to do a few stretches before each class so I could *kind of* get through the class. Pain killers didn’t help, heating pad didn’t help, nothing helped besides a pigeon stretch and that only helped with perineum pain. This was after three months of birth control for a different pain that they thought was caused by my period, even though it wasn’t. These symptoms lasted for three years and three different birth control meds before finding one that worked for me. Now although I still have most of the symptoms I’m at least not going through so many tampons or lasting three months. Anytime someone complains about girls being on periods I tell the, about some of the worst three years of my life and they apologize.

Compare a period cramp with giving birth basically the same pain but periods stay in the same spot in the other hand giving birth gets worse until the baby arrives so technically a period crap hurt as much as giving birth maybe like 50% so my point is what if periods are meant so we know how it’s gonna feel giving birth but just a little more pain | Has anyone ever thought of that?

Being a woman is not just make up and period pain. It goes so much more beyond that, levels that neither you nor any man will ever understand. if you really want to experience being a woman, try walking down the streets and getting catcalled, sexually harassed, stared at and tell me how that makes you feel. if you really want to have the full experience of being a woman, stick to all the socially constructed beauty standards, face all the double standards and do not rebel against them because if you do you are automatically crazy. being a woman does sound all that fun after all huh.

Kind of wish people were talking more about the cat calling thing in the comments. Because what claudia & kennedy were saying is sooo true. Woman ARE NOT flattered when you cat call them or say things like "hey, you're so beautiful" It's uncomfortable and creepy, but yall dudes are like "hey, it's a compliment. You should be happy I'm calling you beautiful." JUST STOP EDIT* Obviously there's a difference between a well intended and sincere way of saying "you're beautiful" for the purpose of making someone feel good, and an obviously creepy sexualized way of saying/yelling out "you're beautiful" when you walk by. Those are two completely different scenarios with different intentions. "You're beautiful" was just a random, more modest, example of something a cat caller would yell out. (And the circumstances very. Cause i'm sorry but a 14 year old girl doesn't need some 45 year old man yelling out, "you're beautiful")

@@strangelyfamiliar1729 no, it's mostly something to do with youth, i've met several young girls and boys who act exactly like her in more situations than this one, she's very similar to a lot of young people i've met in many ways; it's partly because they believe other people don't know these things, so they see it as a moment to teach something and feel good from having others learn from her, it's only partly to look good, and most of it's also to find release from being upset in general; in her case, with this particular subject of prostitutes, she's also fueled by the fact that she's insecure as a girl and tends be pro female to a degree that's usually disproportionate to the situation (in the sense that it's mostly just anti-male; the same happens to boys with overtly pro-male attitudes, who just become anti-female), as seen in several of their other vlogs and videos, where she becomes legitimately angered at even the rare soft jokes that make a reference to genders, but only if they reference her own gender as the funny part; this same method for releasing stress, when taken to extremes, can eventually lead to what's popularly called toxic masculinity or toxic femininity; both sides result from the same reasons, with more extreme degrees of insecurity; if you've ever bumped into non-ironic "alpha male" or "destroying toxic masculinity" groups or channels, you'll see examples of these extreme cases; this girl's not at that point and probably won't be if her life goes well and she keeps maturing, but for now that's where that part of her personality comes from

fr -hair, nails, skin, makeup, weight (appearance expectations) -catcalling -creepy men -getting drugged in public -sexual assaulted/rape percentages are so high for woman -periods (pain holy shit, throwing up, PAIN, can barely even walk sometimes,) -pregnancy (AND this goes along with society expectations women are expected to have children before 30) -society expectations -expected to mature quicker and handle everything -stereotypes of being a housewife, cooking and cleaning and taking care of their children, etc and much more. obviously men and women both face struggles but women go through much more and face much more shit..

Well periods are natural,getting hit in an organ is not.Also men have their WHOLE lives of possibly getting hit in the balls (be it someone doing it intentionally or by accidents).
@i.v70204 жыл бұрын
Rare Gem I understand and sympathize with you however women also have sensitive organs like breasts. Getting hit in the breast causes a LOT of pain . Also periods last days and cramps get multiple cramps a day. Getting hit in the balls is painful and unnatural however it’s very hard to be sanitary when you are on your period. You can’t just change your sanitary product whenever you want most of the time you are at school. The bathrooms are always packed and teachers sometimes have rules on how many times you can go in a semester.

I'd just like to say, the hard part of being a girl isn't putting on makeup every day and doing your hair. The hard thing is dealing with the creepy guys, the gender norms and the sexism we deal with daily. It's also hard to be a guy, but they're different struggles.
