So Bill is a Star Wars fan: his story about surviving a blizzard in the woods is him basically following Han Solo’s lead on Hoth. Shame that Phil didn’t try to use that to bond more with him before he broke up with Alex. Then again, Star Wars and sci-fi is already Mitch and Phil’s common high ground.
