BTS is band of Brothers. They live together for 7 years now and show us what family bond true meaning is. I never see them hugging and showing love to each other in a sexual ways although many people does.

First of all, i want to tell you guys so that you are not gonna freak out how touchy they are each other. I dont know their real relationship with each other. There are certain ships going around fans. It still just a rumors. But what is real truth is that they really love each other a lot. Korean idols always known for being open with skinship with each other. So, whatever skinship you saw, just treat it as they showing love to each other and how close they are. They are like family now. Btw, thank you for the reaction!

i'd like to add the whole ship thing doesn't have anything to do with rumors that's just fans trying to fill their own fantasy about group members. Also The members being touchy feely with one another has more to do with korean society than being an Idol ,from what I've learned in Korea it's not seen as weird for one guy to compliment another guy on his looks or his body or if 2 guys are really close to be touchy feely with each other or what they call skinship. But most westerners when they see that they automatically think gay cause they're not used to seeing straight men have that type of interaction.

Plus when they take it far even by their standards(/what they're typically comfortable with); ...there is fanservice to consider ...where they know some fangirls go crazy over it and they tease it some times. And then there is the jokes and penalties as well for losing games... more things they know they would go crazy for.

The masks are sort of a fashion thing in S Korea but they started out as masks to protect you from the pollution but they’ve stuck around in South Korea as a fashion accessory. People usually wear it when they have a bare face with no makeup on so I guess that’s another use, to hide your bare face.

jungkook is basically the baby of the group, the fact that he's the youngest and all of his hyungs( "hyung" is referred to older guys by the younger ones) basically raised him as he was only still a fetus at the beginning of bts :) they have such a great bond with each other, they really are less like bandmates and more like a family :')

Side note:In korea people of the same sex tend to show affection by being touchy and what not,like in other places its taken as weird or being "gay".Its a cultural difference,you guys didnt seem weirded out like other people but I just wanted to inform you just incase. Also when you said if they(Taehyung and Jungkook)were asked to do that,its called aegyo-being cute/acting cute.Its normal,they normally do it for the fans. Congrats on 2k!And Happy New Year!!

the *GOLDEN MAKNAE* ! Thanks for this reaction. *New subbie here.* Noticed that "age difference" is often highlighted whenever relationships with other members were explained. It's a cultural thing, where in Korea "seniority" (by age or position) is heavily recognized/practiced. There are expectations/ rules of conduct based on someone's age, it was said that introductions among strangers often start with asking the name, followed by the age (even asking the specific month if they are born the same year). In fact, they have to adjust the way they communicate based on it (use of formal/informal language), among other social norms. Even with interactions, it is said that there is an expectation where people can openly interact only within their age-group, unless there are circumstances that made them really, really close (like in the case of BTS). So friendship among different age-groups are quite unexpected, which in the case of BTS -- noteworthy.

The mask is not just a fashion accessory or to keep them away from germs/pollution, Bangtan wears really thick masks while they rehearse because it helps them to improve their breathing and gives them more resistance to dance and sing at the same time (?) Idk how to explain it properly lol

Yup, you're right. It increases lung capacity which allows their lungs to hold more air. This then causes them to have to take fewer breaths while singing, and allows them to sing and dance with a more stable voice.

So glad you guys reacted to one of my suggestions! By the way, make sure you watch until the end of the videos, they include bonus clips on them. Can't wait to see the other members reactions~ By the way, you guys pronounced the names right! And the part where RM is rapping, the other person beside him is Suga, not Jungkook. As for the prank they pulled, it was pretty cruel in my opinion, they laugh about it now though. The members and the staff were scolding him (for a good 10 minutes they were all huddled around him) after filming a performance, they kept saying he missed a step, he wasn't where he should be, that he wasn't taking this serious or something of the sort. Keep in mind it was on his birthday and he had just turned 16 (internationally, he turned 17 according to his Korean age, they have their own system when it comes to birthdays). The members and the staff are the ones pretty much raising him, so for them to tell him he's not doing well, he must have taken it to heart. They left him in the room and came back in with the cake, singing happy birthday, saying they were joking, and then babied him; my guess is that he started crying out of relief that they didn't think those things of him. The mask are worn usually when they go out in public. They usually are used to avoid germs, but they are also used to avoid being spotted or getting photographed, sometimes it's just a fashion choice. Not only that but I believe Suga also mentioned they sometimes practice with the mask on as a way to increase lung capacity. It helps them build endurance for when they perform. The mask makes your body work harder to breathe, so if you can master the performance with the mask on, you'll likely have an easier time performing without it.

Wearing the face masks during dance practices helps them with increasing their lung capacity by restricting the amount of air they take in while practicing intense choreo so that they can sing and dance live on stage with stable voices and without losing their breath too quickly

In korea, they show skinship a lot openly, especially in males. Thats the way they show their brotherly love for each other. BTS is a very very close group. They're like family 💝

The thing i like the most is seeing reactors slowly warm up to bts (not as a mega popular mainstream group or smthn) but as a bunch of seven dorks who just so happened to share the same passion and drive towards said passion. Thank you for taking your time to actually go through with this series.

Thanks for reacting to this. I just want to give you a heads up that the boys are super close and very affectionate with each other. They have lived together for the past 6 or 7 years. At one point they slept in one room with the beds attached and bunk beds because they couldn't afford more than one sleeping room. They are not just a group but a family for sure. You will hear them say "Aw you are cute" to each other. They will say I love you to each other and are physically loving with each other. Jungkook has said many times that the boys in the group helped raised him they collectively hardly see their family. Most of their family live in cities that are far away from their current city the boys work and live in. This year they moved into one of the most expensive housing dwellings and decided to still live together. A reporter asked them last year that they are successful why not live on their own and V (Taehyung) said they couldn't because they would be lonely and other members talk about how complete they feel when they are together. Suga has said that he sleeps better when they are together in one dwelling they are super close. There was a time where they would buy food and share it as one because they could afford to buy seven meals. With all their success and talents that new fans admire I think it is the love, they show each other and how well they take care of each other is what most of us Army admire most. Anyway sometimes reactors are taken back how close they are all and I just want to give you a heads up as to why. Also as you react to personal videos like this to other groups you will find a similar behavior to male pop bands. Thanks for reacting and happy new year.

YES, MY BIAS. The Golden Maknae. One thing this vid didn't mention was his athletic abilities beyond being a black belt in Taekwondo. He said he would be an athlete if it wasn't for BTS. He is good at pretty much every sport and is the strongest in BTS. Members hate versing him in sport games bc they expect to lose. Also his role is main vocalist, this vid just said "vocals".

By the way the choreographer of BTS and Jungkook learned dancing at ML studios (movement lifestyle studios) in L.A. It's very famous worldwide and many known dancers come from there. Many of the choreography videos here on youtube (you know...the ones in a red room, with the huge letters on the wall saying "unity in diversity" ) were shot at ml as well. You can book classes there as well, for every style and every lvl :D Sorry for my english...

maknae is the youngest and hyung means someone older. Age is a big deal in Korea, younger people must respect anyone older and older people take care of the younger. Thats why Jin hyung(oldest) acts like a parent to them all, especially Jungkookie. Agyeo=acting overly cute and adorable. Its very common for girls to do agyeo casually but idols do it for fan service(to make fans happy). But BTS doesnt do it much, they are just naturally cute.

Sometimes, especially during the winter, air quality is really bad in Seoul. For example, today, the air quality index there is at 300+, which is hazardous for health. It's because, in winter, a lot of coal is burned for heat. Also, dust and pollution blowing in from China contribute to the problem. That's why it's essential to wear the mask to sort of filter out the pollution.

they wear that mask cuz its Korean fashion, it looks cool. But also idols wear it to places where they wanna avoid being seen, its not the normal mask you use when you're sick or anything.
