Yes Kevin youre right. Hyung means bro. Korean culture is very respectful so this is how they call eachother. Theyre called honorifics. Younger male to older male = Hyung Younger male to older female = Noona Younger female to older male = Oppa Younger female to older female = Unnie Maknae means the youngest person in the group/family etc. e.g Jungkook is the maknae in BTS. Dongsang means younger brother or sister. Keep in mind they only call eachother this if theyre close, (there are other honorifics people use when theyre not close). They still use this honorifics even if theyre few months apart like how Tae still calls Jimin ‘hyung’ eventhough theyre born in the same year coz Jimin was born in oct while Tae in Dec (but sometimes they do agree to just drop honorifics because they’re technically the same age). It is considered disrespectful there if the younger ones call the older ones names only without hyung or noona etc at the end. E.g Jin is the oldest & all the members call him “Jin Hyung” The older ones can call the younger ones anyway they want. Usually they drag out their names in a cute way & thats how you know theyre older lol. Like how the older ones calls jungkook ‘jungkook-ah’ or ‘Jimin-ie’ or how jackson from Got7 likes to scream at Namjoon (RM)- ‘NAMJOON-AH !!’ lol sorry for this long lesson that you did not ask for lmao just thought it would be good for you to know since yall are reacting to kpop. Also BTS has some videos where they tell the younger ones to speak to the older ones informally (drop honorifics) & its hilarious to see the older ones react & try to stay calm & not snap from the disrespect 😂

iamnumber8 he calls Jimin hyung sometimes in interviews. But the most obvious is, he wasnt allowed to lower his speech to Jimin. I remember once he spoke informally to Jimin and Jimin turned around and was like “yaa im still older than u” and they laughed. So Tae usually calls Jimin, Jiminie but still uses formal speech to him until most recently when Jimin told him its ok to speak casually since theyre 95 line. I remember Namjoon also calling Jhope hyung in interviews before too but he doesnt anymore lol

Since I know it will be more confusing later, let me just briefly explain the real message that they try to deliver in this series. Not the story plot, just the concept. This series is called as Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa (The Most Beautiful Moment in Life), according to what RM said at their concert, it means that even though life is never easy, there will be a moment that we think is the best moments. During that moments, we may facing hardship but still, happiness can be achieved. This just show that "Happiness" have lots of different meaning. You may achieve happiness because you are able to overcome your problem or because there are lots of good event occur. But BTS used their MV and story plot to explain that during hard moments, you can have a good time whenever there is someone who stay by your side. Like in the music videos, all members facing problems in their life, but they gather to have a good time. So, just because you have a difficult life doesn't mean you don't deserve happiness! I'll stop here before I accidentally give spoiler.

It's been so long since you've started the series, I'm not sure you remember what was going on. First thing first, you should've watched until the end. Now, since it's been so long since you last started the series I doubt you remember the theories. Allow me to elaborate, I'll add my comment from INU and then add on the Prologue. Get ready to read, a lot. INU: There are multiple theories but the one that made the most sense to me was that that Jin is dead, we don't know how he died but a few suspect it could have been suicide. In I Need U, the happy moments where they're all together are actually suppose to be memories, flashbacks of a much happier time, they were at their happiest when they were together. Being apart they each struggle with with something of their own (addiction to pills, depression, suicidal ideation, abuse, etc.), but together they are happy - this is the concept of youth that they were showing (many young people each struggle with something but usually turn to their friends in times of despair or simply to forget about their struggles for a while). With Jin's death, their struggle was sort of amplified I guess, and we see each member by themselves and how each one is coping with the loss of their friend. J-Hope, Suga, and Jimin attempt suicide. J-Hope taking all those pills and falling in the middle of the street (overdose, he survives), Suga who burns the room he's in, and Jimin who tries to drown himself. RM tries to go back to living a normal life by going back to work, Jungkook who seems to be numb and allows himself to get beat up. And worst of all V, who bottles it up until he sees his abusive father beating his mom/sister (we're not sure, we suspect sister due to his solo track Stigma), he snaps and kills his father. Also, keep this in mind for later on, but after getting beat up Jungkook continues to wander around and at one point begins to cross a street but looks up when he sees headlights coming his way. It doesn't show, but many believe he was hit. I strongly believe in the theory that Jin is dead. Be that as it may, I also believe in another theory. That being that each boy is the personification of an emotion, ones we go through while growing up. I've also read theories similar to this, except they believe the boys are all a part of Jin's psyche, each one representing an emotion (much like the movie Inside Out). There's also the one about Neverland and the boys being the The Lost Boys from Peter Pan, this would also make sense seeing as Neverland is the place where you never grow up (everlasting youth). There's so many interesting theories, and I love reading them all. Prologue: Prologue is the continuation, V's hands are covered in blood from just having killed his father. The literal translation of "hyung" is older brother, but it is commonly used by males to refer to older males that they are close to. In this case, V called RM, likely to ask for help, but RM didn't answer (you can see this in the Run Japanese Version). It then moves onto the scenes at the abandoned pool where they're all together. I'm not sure if this is a memory that takes place BEFORE or AFTER V had killed his father. Anyways, I believe we're seeing Jin's memories in his after life, hence why he's the one holding the camcorder or taking the picture, he never partakes in the activities) these are his memories of his time spent with the boys (he hasn't realized he's dead yet). The scene where he's recording the butterfly, it sort of looks like he realized something, maybe he suspects that the place isn't real or that something just isn't right. Point is, he comes to some sort of realization; that scene followed by the one with the bag moving in the air, it's suppose to imply that it isn't real - an illusion, a memory, maybe Jin's idea of heaven, who knows but it isn't actually happening in that instant. We then see them plan a trip, they stop at the gas station where RM takes a picture of Jin and Suga and puts it in the compartment. Let's move onto the trip and where V climbs that structure and jumps off. Him jumping can be interpreted as a few things; he jumps to feel free, he jumps into the "void" that is adulthood and it might mean he's ready to face the problem, or maybe it was a suicide attempt from either 1) to escape the abuse of his father or 2) to escape the reality of having killed his father (#2 seems more likely to me). Now in the end, Jin takes out the photo from the compartment that RM had taken of him and Suga. He looks at the photo but realizes he's the only one in the photo. Seeing this he comes to the realization that what he's living in isn't reality and that the boys aren't actually there with him, he realizes he is dead. I forgot to mention, but I believe the "You need to survive" message that RM wrote relates to what happened to Jin. But I also believe this is just ONE version of their life. As we've seen in the highlight reels, it seems that Jin might be able to time travel, it explains the wormhole we saw in the BS&T Japanese version as well as the intro of their stage performance at MAMA. Maybe he keeps going back in time to try and help his brothers, he wants them all to live a happy life, but something always seems to go wrong. He seemed tired of having to go back and "fix/change" something, he looked numb. I'll have to read the books they've clued us in on, including Into the Magic Shop.

Prologue still has an ending scene after the credits. Its where Jin was inside the car looking at the sea when he took out the photo which RM took at the gas station. Remember that RM took a picture of Jin and Suga together... But at the end, when Jin took out the photo he saw no one beside him. Suga was not in the picture, Jin was all alone in the picture. Jin made a very sad face after seeing the picture. I suggest that when you watch the RUN MV, please watch it till the end☺☺ thank you!!💜💜

Anyhoo, I really love the all the BTS storyline's even if I'm still confused at times. The songs that played throughout this were Butterfly, Ma City, and House of Cards. I think. All are 100% amazing. As a side note, you may not know this but a game called BTS World is dropping soon and it's interactive, so the members filmed a lot for it. Hyung does mean "older brother" in a sense but it can also be used to reference to older males in Korea that you are close with (hyung only applies to male to male). It's an honorific, like Jungkook (youngest) can call the other 6 members "hyung", usually though to avoid confusion you add it with their name like "Jin-Hyung" V however just says "hyung", but he doesn't specify who out of the 5 members he's talking to. Most of us think it's RM but we can't quite confirm that. BONUS: "maknae" (MACK-nay) means the youngest of a group. You don't attach it to names, you just reference then as that sometimes. Jungkook gets referred to as the maknae, this is unisexual so this would apply to Lisa from BLACKPINK as well.
