I think keeping strong in the deck is a good benefit cause when you mill nonlands due to rad counters you gain life and opponents lose life.

Muldrotha will help you get your permanents back. Mesmeric Orb will speed up the milling. Also, it triggers separately with each untapping permanent, which means your commander (or whoever) is gonna get a ton of counters.

Just got the deck and was so confused about Piper being there, so odd. 1/2 that needs to do damage to create a clue then you have to spend 2 to get a +1/+1. Was the first card that I took it out as well. Awesome video guys!

I'm a mill player at heart too. Crosstown Courier, Towering-Wave Mystic, Imperious Mindbreaker, Mesmeric Orb, Memory Erosion are auto includes in this deck. Hope they make it into the next round of upgrades.

this is the color combo ive been waiting for for a mill. my first ever 60card deck was mill with undead alchemist and hedron crab. first ever commander was phenix and then finally zellix took his spot and now im super exited to play with zellix, undead alchemist, cloakwood hermit, and screeching scorch beast under the wise mothman and a doubling season/parrallel lives/primal vigor. and since fallout is my favorite game franchise i might have to alter all those cards to fit the fallout theme.

Curious if you had any reps playing this upgraded version? You removed a ton of the card draw engines and added mill payoffs that only matter if your commander is on board. New deck doesn’t really do anything without him, milling ~40 cards isn’t a win condition…?

Im confused. In the beginning with mothmans ability, it was stated you could put a bunch of +1 counters on mothman instead of spreading out the +1 among creatures you control. But i thought if (for example) 3 players milled 1 non land each. Then you can put one +1 counter on creatures, up to 3 creatures you control. But couldnt stack it.

Good suggestions but i added Sidisi, Brood tyrant and undead alchemist. These were really good choices in the decks and have been playing it at my LGS. Also added Jace, Perfected mind for that nice mill 15!

All jokes aside, my first game with mothman got power fist and was over 80 damage worth of Commander damage of flying and trample. It's the only thing my table can agree on is when to kill me........ One of these days I'll get them all 😂 first

Can anyone help me explain why Zellix Background effect is only a flavor in this deck? I never Played with 2 Commanders but for me it sounds great to play Zellix safe at Turn 3 and Mothman at 4. Or did i miss something?

Backgrounds are only used when in the command zone. Because Zellix is not our commander, the “choose a background” does not matter

Hedron Crab was created before the word Mill became an official term. All the cards that say “put the top card of that library into its owner's graveyard” has been updated just to say mill. Hope this helps!
