People were extra mad about the pre wrath zombie event because it lined up with the bonus exp bliz gave to people to get ready for Wrath. People were mad that they came back to lvl only to be prevented from doing so due to the plague killing people and npcs.

LoL I was playing a orc shaman at the time and a group of alliance zombies killed some of us. So we gathered to together and camped the ogrimmar teleporter. Turned everyone into zombies and it was awhile for the raid to kill us since the spit was a aoe heal that gave us a huge regen. Took them awhile even with the raid but eventually they picked off enough of us to sustain the heal. Or just blow yourself up in the action house. Was one of my favorite events.

I remember on Tichondrius during the early days of vanilla, shortly after MC was released, players would get the Baron Geddon bomb on their pet and then dismiss their pet. The buff would not go away until the pet was spawned again then erupt. They would come back to Org and summon the pet in the auction house and murder everyone, lol.

In BFA early patch ( My guild got it patched) In hte waycrest manor u would get a debuff that spawned maggots, and this would stack indefinetly and the debuff didnt go away if you went out ofthe dungeon, though the debuff lasted for sub 10 seconds. We got a mage, stacked maggots till we got bored, made portal to ogrrimmar and Dazar Alor. Died to the maggots, debuff spread to everyone, wiped the whole thing.

Scarlet crusade, right before burning crusade launched. They pulled Kazak to sw, I was a 60 warlock in decent gear… it was funny. Lowbies got wrecked, I had health stones and pots… shadow ward. If you backed away enough you would be safe from the shadowbolts.

I also remember pallys had an ability that gave them an extra swing on their next attack whenever they receive a critical hit. One pally spent over an hour dueling a figure rogue until he built up an obscene amount of extra swings then went and killed Kazzak in one hit. I believe the rogue used starter daggers so he didn't do lots of damage but he did wear our a lot of daggers.

People don't give World Bosses enough credit in Classic and Vanilla. A piece of Everquest where open world competition over 1 boss spawn could spiral into massive faction warfare and even griefing of your own faction especially with the case of Kazzak's insane aoe mechanics. If you were one of those guilds fighting over the kill, it was really edge of your seat stuff, let alone remembering this was back in 2005 where communication (batphoning) was harder to get 40 man raids online ready when a boss spawned and few guilds shared winning boss strategies. It was such a nolife exclusive experience they pretty much never did world bosses again outside of TBC Kazzak who wasn't a big deal.

I believe people had 'less patience' in Classic because 1) you've got people going back for the nostalgia and 2) new players who never experienced Vanilla - and when you pair that up with people who went out of their way to replicate events that happened back in the day, its not exactly gna sit well with the player base. All well and good to experience something the once, but when it constantly interrupts gameplay, thats when people start getting testy, lol - and in this day and age where everyone wants 'in' on a gaming trend, its understandable if others get frustrated.

I USED TO BE THE BEST TRAINER ON EVERQUEST. So the concept is running around and grabbing NPCs around over and over, until you have at a minimum 75 monsters, then use some skill to drop them on top of a person. When you played on PVP server you used to be able to train raids with said monsters then assist the monsters and wipe raids. I got suspended doing this many times.
