GW0WVL... President Lincoln 10/11 mtr radio.

I am in the US in Texas. I bought a Lincoln from a truck driver back around 1990 for $200.00. After using it a few years, I put it in storage and it has been there since. I just pulled it out of storage after about 33 years and it still works. I need to hook up an antenna and see how strong it is still. I may need to get it tuned up.

Oh yes sir, they are great radios. I do have the HR2510 and have made great contacts with it at 20 watts as well with just a rotatable dipole antenna at 19 feet at both the 27MHz freeband and 10 meters. From my QTH, the farthest I've made contact with is Brazil at almost 19,000 kms. All in all, 28 countries. I wouldn't let go of this radio. 73...

so coool!! im thinking to buy a Lincoln and put it in my car..drive to a good spot and then try to contact far away stations .. like i did long time ago (80's) ..your video did let me jump in the room from excitment .. and old memorys pop up!! Hello Mark, just picked up a mk1 lincoln today, had one back in the day and regretted selling it. I bought a Grant and a 3 element from you many years ago, not sure you would remember.

Fine tune ? In what way ? ..... The VFO on the front panel is how you tune a station in .

I had one of these back in the 90's but was named Uniden then that a fellow ham from the US brought 2 over. his sadly silent key now, but i worked all over the world on 10m mobile back then. happy days 73

HR-2510, Uniden 2830, Lincoln .... All basically the same radio, Getting on a bit now but still a nice performing radio .

From about 8 mins 30 secs, I switch to 10 mtrs to work a few Europeans.
