Hello. With the release of SotO this build got some changes. Gear: Head/chest/leg/backpack/2 rings in "diviner" and rest in "berserker" Weapon : Hammer in "berserker" Rune: dragonhunter Relic: Firework This is a net improvement on the dps of this build and the engi hammer is my favorite weapon in the game so I'm thrilled about this change.

You are the first one who said that it is possible to make machine skills automatic. Thank you! I will look forward to other builds for the engineer. Your presentation of information is very detailed.

My ham/pam guides started as a way to help a guildmember that isn't a native enlish speaker. So I tried to make it the easiest way for this person to understand. Then I figure might as well do it for "everyone". And yes it was surprising to me when a couple of guildmates told me they didn't know about the auto-cast for the golem so I thought it deserved a spot in the guide. Glab you enjoyed it.

@itsmexadine great video man! I do have a question, how much concentration do I need, in total? Given the fact I have few legendary trinkets, it's easier to change stats there, then on gear parts. Also, is 20% Boon Duration enough or do I need more? Is it the same for scrapper? Can we expect identical video for scrapper as well?
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
Sooooooo: First, thank you for the nice comment. And yes changing trinkets can lead to similar values. Second, on this build (without infusions or other boosts) you should be around 40% boon uptime (no boon sigil, golem isn't affected by it but only your own stats). With the exact gear shown in this video my PAM has 472 concentration & 41.46 boon duration. It is enough to perma alacrity on f2/f3 alone if you are provided with Quickness by your party. I went for mace to add some more room for error in case people are not confident in their clicking capacity. If you do use mace you should be able to drop somewhere around 30% boon duration (haven't drop so low in a long while) and still manage to perma alacrity. But like I said in the video this is aimed for "ease of use" rather than max dps output. On 20% you will still provide decent alacrity uptime but you won't manage to keep it up all the time and you will NEED the mace and focus on AA even more. I guess you could swapped out "force signet" for "barrier signet". It would be a bit more dps loss but it would make up for the lack of boon duration. Thrid, I do intend on doing a Qscrapper guide which is why I mentionned it in this video. I'm trying to finish a OLC nm/cm guide (wich is taking forever to polish) first and then Qscrapper will be next. I cannot give a good date but i'll try to get it done within the month. I have all/most of the footage but lately my day job required more of my time then expected. For the Qscrapper you don't need as much concentration/boon duration because "kinetic accelerators" will boost it like crazy. My Qscrap is at 256 concentration / 17% boon and with the "kinetic accelerators" trait it jump to 508 concentration / 33% boon. I think I've answered everything. Hope it is helpful.

Good guide! I personally prefer rifle more, it has a lot of utility, but tried mace/shield too and its great! Also you can cheese traumanova a bit more with rocket boots, it gives you 2 huge jumps!
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
Weirdly enough I never think about rocket boots except in w3 TC where it's a reflex.

Thanks for the guide, would swapping pistol for shield be alright?
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
yes you can. It will be a small DPS loss but you'll gain more CC and reflection/block. For some fights that require a high amount of CC it can be a good idea to swap (like Samarog or XJJ CM). I personnally go with "personal Battering Ram" instead. I would stick to pistol most of the time as this is a support DPS build (and it's already a bit less damage than the "meta rifle" version) but for most PUG run I don't think anyone would complain if you run shield. Anyway your most important job is to provide Alacrity so nobody will complain as long as you do just that.

A quick question, is it alright to go full berserker armor instead of combining diviner gear for this build? I'm myself used to be power holosmith/rifle mech
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
I"m not sure if you're asking about going 1) full berserker or 2) berserker armor and shift the diviner on trinkets. 1)If you go full berserker you won't be able to be a reliable "alacrity" source for your team. Unless you make changes to your utility to gain extra "alacrity' (such as barrier signet, concentration food/enhancement...). I don't think it's a good idea, sure it's better than "no alac" at all in the party but it would not be my first choice. It's better to get 1 pure dps and 1 alac rather then 2 half dps/alac. 2) shift armor/weapons full berserker and some trinkets to diviner to match the overall stats. Yup it's totally doable. I went with diviner on armor because it's easier to stat swap armor pieces than getting the proper trinkets (outside of legendary trinkets) Nothing wrong with power holo and power mech (don't listen to mech haters). And at the moment Power scrapper is pretty nice too. I hope I answered your question. don't hesitate to ask again if I missed the point.
@LaHuguu Жыл бұрын
Does the power alac mech still has his place in the meta ? I mean except in EZ3 strikes and low tier fractals. Can you do EOD strikes, T4 fractals, raids … or will your comm kick you in favor of another alac provider ?
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
From my own experience I never had any issue joining a pug raid / strike / frac. As a matter of fact it's my go-to frac Alac because my engi can do everything (alac, quick, heal, dps) and I can swap on demand. And most parties just ask for "alac dps" and that's it. If you want the "meta" pick you'll go with alac renegade. It got boosted and does insane damage at the moment. I often see Alac mirage in pugs and rarely specter (which I strongly suggest for new players or non exp runs) The only situations where I saw parties ask for a specific class are: Frac rando asking for HFB/Alac rene and nothing else and 10k+ UFE CM runs. Raid statik asking for 90% bench.

it's super weird you didn't list how many dps you get from this build
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
I never put in the guide how much dps a build does. I do write it when asked because I know people want big numbers. In an actual fight situation you can expect to be around 18k (that's my average on frac CM, closer to 20k on raid). In good conditions you can reach around 23k (a bit more than 25k with rifle instead). Under 14k means you need to work on your rotation. With the current patch the "meta" Adps is specter but it'll be nerf july 18.

Rifle is useless?
@itsmexadine Жыл бұрын
At the moment rifle is the "meta" weapon. It has a slightly higher DPS than mace/pistol, more mobility and better CC. Then why do I recommend mace/pistol? 1) It's mostly for convenience for sustaining Alacrity. With rifle you may find yourself lacking in alacrity if your golem dies or you're not on point for the f2/f3 spam. The mace AA chain provide more survival with barrier on 3rd hit and some alacrity on top of it. This is nice because it allows you to secure extra secondes of alacrity which gives more flexibility with f2 and f3 if you wish to counter a boss mechanic. 2) Since Anet modified the trait "mechanical genious" if the golem is at more than 360range from the mechanist for more than 10s (current timing, may change in the futur) the golem stats are reduced by 50%. A lot of Rifle players don't stack as closely as they should and move around without paying much attention to their golem. this lead to them losing a lot of stats and a sharp dps drop. Playing on mace will make sure you stay close enough of your golem to not lose the "mechanical genious" buff. 3) I enjoy mace a lot! mace 2 and 3 are amazing skills with a lot of support for your party. And I enjoy mace a lot... wait I said that already. But if you're keeping an eye on your golem and make sure to move around with it you should be good to go with rifle. Again mace is mostly for convenience.

Minus points for not being a female Charr

all my characters are males except for Elem because it's a norn... you could tell from its creation that I didn't really intend to play it since I hate norns but at least females are "easier" on the eye than males.
