I'll explain it since I took the time, Ice Relic does alot of damage which is not balanced atm. Even though based damage is like 200- 300 its power coefficent is (.5) so with that in mind ferocity and percision + any damage modifers you apply roughly around 12k to 40k in total based on the situation.

My willbender sensei. Always a pleasure watching you play. I do have a question how do you teleport onto your enemies with buildings and objects in front of you or above you? I always get line of sighted for some reason when I use judgement. I also play on action camera maybe thats why?

Do you have any example ? it doesn't work in certain areas, like walls most of the times will block ports but generally speaking if it won't work for you then it won't work for me either, I don't think action camera changes anything (I'd advise you not to use it tho xD)

greatsword feels better, but you can run whatever you like the most, if you want some kind of replacement for the invu, Deathless Courage is viable (not great)

How does this spec do vs thieves? Generally what's the hardest matchups? I play reaper so my mobility is trash and thieves can just dance around me.

It does pretty bad vs thieves, it's one of the hardest matchup, specter is the only spec that isn't hard countering you on thief

Whats your opinion on the willbender buffs from the new balance patch preview?

Deathless courage might see some use now, it depends on how strong the damage reduction is. The rest of the buffs won't affect WB much, it might enable some new builds but nothing crazy. (I'm excited for the WB port buffs) The new glacial heart trait will probably shake things up a bit, but it also depends on the numbers. I think hammer should get a lot more popular, can't say how good it'll be Sword 3 buff tho, unless the animation is clunky, is going to add even more to the perma push kit that WB has, which I think is one of the reasons people don't like to face WB and isn't healthy for the game. This buff was absolutely not needed for WvW I'm calling it now, the next build in PvP for WB is going to be a bunker/decap build

I just started playing WB a few weeks back (glass cannon build) and it's hella OP and super fun. I do realize though I'm still very much a beginner, I can jump people and 1 shot them (because WB is OP), but it's still a hit and run playstyle and I want to improve in extended fights. Would love some tips and guidance from you :D Incredible gameplay by the way, I've been using Brawler relic but I need to give Ice relic a try lol.

hit and run is the right way to play it (unless you do 90% running xD), in outnumbers or bigger fights you want to find the easiest target to kill or a high priority target, down the target then chose between cleaving or kiting. I usually snowball when I know I can finish the fights quickly because WB's strength is the ridiculous damage output it has on targets that don't move much. If the fights are more tensed, then kite and let the opponents chose, either they follow you, leave the down which gives you an opportunity to kite/juke with ports or they go for a hand rez aka best opportunity to AoE burst and kill the rest if you can't finish the down then you're kinda back to step 1, find a target > down > kite or cleave tldr: oneshot what you can and stay out of their damage, go back with ports (sw2/sw5/F3) when they're split from your kiting or hand rezing hope that helps

@@rektyu7035 it does for sure, I've been playing somewhat the same way but I'm really bad at utilizing F3 - I just forget it can stun break or forget to use it to kite and juke. Something I definitely have to keep in mind. Also what's your opinion on a second weapon set (aside from sw/sw)? I've been using GS which has good cleave and a leap so it's really beginner friendly. Hammer feels a bit clunkier but I haven't used it much, and LB is very nice as it gives a ranged option but I do miss the GS cleave and leap.

F3 is mostly used offensively, it helps you come back from bad situations and it's very easy to get value from the landing damage and the flames as for weapon sets, it depends on what you're running, for ice relic builds I run GS because ice relic forces you to commit and finish fights quickly or reset, which GS is very good at. otherwise GS2 feels really bad into players that know how to move away from it, GS3 tracking is trash, GS5 needs a rework, this skill is outdated af (as you can see i'm a GS hater) LB has some good match ups and some bad match ups, having a ranged option always feels great, but it can be hard to know when to kite and keep your distance on a class that mostly leap/port forward Hammer needs some practice to get used to, you can do a lot of fun stuff, it's surprisingly good in a lot of 1v1 situation because hammer 3 and 5 are really really strong and hammer 2 only has 6s CD finally i'd recommand mace/shield, you lose a lot of cleave from GS but get a solid CC, good amount of prot uptime, blocks, this weapon set makes you alot tankier but don't underestimate mace 3 damage

@@rektyu7035Yeah that's spot on, GS is nice for jumping people and cutting off zergs' tails but it does feel bad in 1v1. For that I'll look at Hammer or mace/shield, I actually have never played that (new to Guard) but seems like it brings more defensive options without sacrificing damage too much.

It only works after you use your elite skill, it will launch projectiles to enemies in range (from what I've tested the range is 360). If there are no enemies in range, no projectile will be fired but the relic will still go in CD

I used to have the same issue on my alt, and honestly I never really liked the other options for condi cleanses, I'd recommend energy sigil if you're not playing one, or more aggressive sigils

I'd always go hydro on GS and rage on sword, rest depends on what you like the most, cleansing or energy for defensive, air or fire for more aggressive setups

I'd say its pretty OP because of the amount of boons it gets for free and high dmg/mobility. You can deal more power dmg on celly WB than most other classes cause its so easy to hit skills
