This video is old, Anet reworked the runes and you cannot get stealth anymore, check on the build page on the description you will find an updated video.

gotta question, i think trapper rune is more focused on condi dmg (and is very cool on trapper ranger) but in order to get the "maximum" power dps for DH traps, which rune would u recommend - scholar rune?

If you were going full damage yes scholar but you will be a free kill. If you want a good alternative then use fireworks runes cuz have damage and mobility. But trapper runes are op despite the stats simply cuz the stealth allows you to land the spear and true shot without being obvious, otherwise enemies will just dodge since the animations are long and easy to see, and then the super speed for mobility is also very good.

Question. Why sword and board over great-sword? GS 5 seems like a perfect fit?

Mobility is overpowered on this game, there are multiple reasons why sword and shield is better. A port (sword 2) is way more useful than a leap due to the ability to bypass terrain and gain instant distance, and besides being a gap closer is also a blind. More projectile mitigation with sword 3 and shield 5. Shield 4 for protection and block. Shield 5 to combo another knockback into test of fait. You can play GS if you like it but its not better that's all.

The vast bulk of people who play WvW either have a tag they regularly run with, or are just there for the stuff. Because in the end, we are all Skritt. Was nifty seeing a cameo of myself in this video, too.

Lol you'd be surprised how awful some players are then... Do you play WvW...? I'd imagine the presence of people only there for the stuff was common knowledge. Especially since there's WAY more new players lately. This is not a bad thing, btw. More players = more fun.

Also also, this is an edited video, obviously not going to show the parts where she dies over and over and over. Which is reasonable, since that would make a terrible video. Obliterating the enemy in a 3v7? 100% KZbin worthy. Just pointing out what should be obvious...

Unfortunately, the video only shows the successful moments of the dragon hunter. Believe me, the DH is anything but easy to play when roaming alone. Even if the video suggests otherwise. There are roaming classes that are worlds superior to the DH. If you think you can play the DH in roaming and you are a beginner, run with a small group and definitely not alone.
