GW2 WvW - Support Chronomancer is back!

Hello guys, and welcome back to my channel.
New patch brought quite some new build changes, the first one i wanted to cover is the heal chronomancer, a very promising build, which i think could be really strong in the right hands , and maybe with some small changes. Keep in mind that i'm still testing around, but imo this is the best option for now; let's just wait for the rifle i guess! Audio disappeared from the last couple minutes, for some reason, but everything was already covered more than enough ;)

Many Chrono videos popped up, looks like others are using Relic of the Flock in combination with the healing mantra. Is that weaker compared with the Monk + well in wvw settings?

Mantra only heals yourself, but with flock you can get ~3k barrier every 10 seconds. Well heals for a lot more, also thanks to the trait , while also removing conditions, but the cooldown is 30 seconds, and often times you would be overhealing , which doesn't happen with the barrier from flock relic. Still, you lose 10% more healing for every healing source, which includes shatters, regeneration etc. In my opinion, you could go mantra+flock if you need a properly timed 3k aoe barrier, with a rather short cooldown. Well+monk is better if you are not efficient with the mantra(like using 2 charges with an in between time < 10 seconds) and if you need way higher heals, which shouldn't be happening if you , as chrono, are a 3rd support, meaning that the secondary support (druid) should be covering the healings, since druid can't apply barrier. Both options are good: If you are the only healer in the party , together with the firebrand, go well+monk , 100% . If you are the 3rd support, together with the firebrand and the 2nd support (druid/healvindi/scrapper/tempest), it is up to you, but with well you are probably going to overheal.

I have seen some mesmers trying it, but it was kinda bad; you could maybe try to pair it with another big support like the core guardian,but then you would lose a dps spot for a build which doesn't offert so much... mesmer alone cannot give enough support , i wouldn't recommend it.

Hello, Chronomancer will get nerfed pretty hard in the 19th march patch, so i will wait after that

If you want to play rifle now, just swap out sword+shield and play staff+rifle. Everything else is the same.

im back in gw after 6 years and i made lvl 80 mesmer for wvwvw. Can you recommend me crono support build that is adjusted and has more damage?

Hello and welcome back to the game! In this video you will find the current meta Chronomancer build, but it will get nerfed exactly in one week from today. There isn't a Chrono build which can deal damage and support at the same time, actually there is no dps chrono build which is viable right now, sorry .

@@grga1vk this build will probably stay meta, but it will be noticeably weaker. With the newest expansion you can replace sword+shield with a rifle, which is a support weapon, which i wasn't using in this video because it wasn't available yet. Sadly there is no other mesmer build , except maybe a dps virtuoso, on which i have a video :)

Consider a similar build with Virtuoso! I think it can work as like a quickheal virtuoso for wvw.

NVM, just wishful thinking. Virtuoso has its own issues and can't do much even with the new chaos and inspiration traits

The heals are weak on Chrono without clones so Inspiration trait is useless in WvW. It's better to run Domination/Chaos/Chronomancer. Let Tempest cleanse and heal along with the FB. Chrono can fill in the gap with stability and keep its role as a boon stripper. The regeneration you get in Chaos is good enough to fill in the gaps for any sort of healing that may be lacking but really that is it. I tried this build with a rifle in the beta, it was crap even with the heal weapon. But then I switched to Domination/Chaos with Scepter/Shield + Staff and it's much much better.

Mesmer has only two jobs, to be veil and illu bot. That's all. That's all he's good for. All other tasks are performed by tempest and much better (perma protection, perma regen, 90% alac uptime) and that's not taking into account heal and condi cleanse. For strips we have scr (nullfield nerfed to death) so mesm, even after rework, is still very niche, the only place where mesmer is fully revealed is small scale/gvg/srims

Tempest is one of the worst supports atm, cleanses are good but heals are much lower than other classes like healvindi and druid.

Interesting. I watch a chronomancer burn through a HoT champ faster than any class I've seen yet. Using continuum split.

That has really never been true, mesmer always had some of the most important cc skills that could literally dicide the fight. Also alac or quickness for the party was always super valuable. Now after the patch mesmer can fullfill the stability and boons role for the sub maybe even on a similar level as Fb + still bring all the utility.
