What did they mine there? Open pit coal mining is big in Wyoming. But now once the company is done, it has to reclaim the land as best they can. That is one big hole though.

G'day Laurie and Brett, Anthea and I were there just two years ago. There is now a "free camp" for self contained caravans/vehicles virtually overlooking the now expanded pit, and as well as the town there is an interesting museum on the hilltop.

G'day John. I went thru and had a quick look in 2019, but only at the town site. Is the museum you saw the same one as in the video? We filmed that back in 2006.
