1. 침착하게 적절한 타이밍을 노리다 - bide one's time
He played it really smart. He didn't rush into it. He bided his time and just when the timing was right, he made his move.
2. 지금 당장 결정해야 하는 것은 아니야. 일단 오늘은 고민을 좀 해보고 내일 알려줘.
sleep on it
You don't have to decide anything now. Why don't you just sleep on it tonight and tell me what you think in the morning.
3. 지금 기회가 생겼을 때 ---- 하다 - strike while the iron is hot
We can never anticipate opportunities like this. I say we strike while the iron is hot.
4. 묵묵히 자기 할 일을 하다 - keep one's head down
No. I think I've already caused enough trouble. I think I'm just going to keep my head down for a while.
5. 몸을 사리다 - lie low (*실제 회화에서는 lay low라고 하는 것을 많이 들을 수
있지만 lie low가 맞음. 하지만 lay low 라고 해도 사실 괜찮음)
It may seem safe right now but it's very unpredictable and I think we should lie low for a while.
6. 상황이 진정되다 - the dust settles
after the dust settles : 상황이 진정되고 나면
until the dust settles : 상황이 진정될 때까지
There's just too much happening right now. After the dust settles, I'm sure things will be much clearer.

I got a job offer, all my friends said I have to strike the iron while it's hot. But you know, I'm not interested in working as a teacher. It's just not my cup of tea. Hello teacher, Now I'm going through military service in Nonsan. And I'm suffering few bad rumors came from other colleagues in living place. I don't think I'm perfectly innocent, but recently they getting worse for me. I think I have two choices, lying low and waiting til the dust settles or biding my time for being proud. And I would decide with the latter. I have paper works in military unit so i would just keep my head down while binding my time. I would just sleep on it over this holidays and thanks for giving me opportunity to think about it.

i am just biding my time to sell off my stocks but the market doesnt seem like it will have hopeful vibe for the time being. she always bides her time and never rush into it and just when she thinks the timing is right, she makes her first step. this is why she stays ahead of us. i would have like a day or two to sleep on it more thoroughly. you can sleep on it over the weenekd and give me a call and tell me what you think next monday. i have already made a lot of mistakes even considering i am just starting out as a rookie. i think i had better keep my head down for a while. i was late for work and i am now tryinng to keep my head down by the end of the day. i just want to lie low and bide my time until opportunities come up. i perfer to lie low rather than stand out what do you say we make our move just after the dust settles i think we can lie low for a while until the duest settles.
