Kenny Barron is the best jazz pianist I have heard in my 70 years. His musicality just happens. In other words, he doesn't play jazz; instead, it is jazz that plays him (does it make sense?). And he is always accompanied by great musicians.

I can't listen enough to Kenny Barron, be it in duo, rio, quartet or quintet settings. His musicality, improvisations and tremendous feeling for mixing with the other musicians around him come through every performance.

It is always polite to name the accompanists, so here they are: (piano) Kiyoshi Kitagawa (bass) Johnathan Blake (drums) . Lovely stuff from start to finish, btw.
