This to me is true art. @Rubysparkle Rodriguez, I spent 4,5 years in a relationship that was like that. He just wouldn't open up, wouldn't let us truly be close. He couldn't in a way. It was really painful and I knew it wasn't going to work but it took me a very long time to leave because I couldn't stand the thought of hurting him. I don't know if you're in a similar situation, but at some point you need to let go if you are truly unhappy. Some people do know how and want to work on themselves, unpack the baggage of their past and cherish the love they have now, but some people just don't know how to achieve that.
