I love Blake and Gwen , I can relate to their story, of how they both were drawn to each other. I was married for 18yrs and we dated since I was in 9th grade. We married 6mo. after he returned from veit nam. After 18 years of marriage he started drinking and cheating, a friend of ours who was going through a divorce was someone I could talk with about my pain and sadness.We eventually started dating, he was always there for me and we shared our sadness. We dated for a year.In some ways he was just the sweetest. No, we didn’t stay together but I grew from it and learned his drinking and cheating wasn’t my fault. My friend and I are good friends still, 35yrs later,my ex continued drinking and cheating. I was able to find forgiveness for him, I never did remarry, but I am happy and grateful. Before criticizing Blake and Gwen, try to understand what they were going through and be happy for them, too me they seem very happy and in love.

What he “lifted” behind was a cheating ex who drank too much, had angry outbursts, and refused to settle down or have a family (she still doesn’t have kids). What Blake’s got now is a loyal, faithful, kind wife that’s given him the settled family life he wanted. And shares his love of Oklahoma (instead of “I got the hell out of Oklahoma” or “I couldn’t write songs there. It stifled me”) He’s got a woman he can trust, kids he loves. He still gets to do the hunting, fishing, farming he loves. Life’s good for Blake. He doesn’t have to worry about a wife using him for $ or career because Gwen’s got more $ and a longer career than him. You don’t have to like the music, but telling Blake what he should do with his own life isn’t your job. Blake makes the decisions about his life, not the fans. If you’re a fan, support him. If not just ignore it and move on.
