Gavin cheated for the whole 20 years they were together. It’s in her song lyrics. He also married her without telling her he’d been in a 5 year gay relationship when younger, and had a love child that he refused to see until she did dna as a teen and called him out. Both of these things came out in the media after Gwen had already married him, and it embarrassed her bc she didn’t know. It was the the tip of the iceberg of lies he told. He also gave interviews saying he hated ska music, didn’t listen to Gwen’s music, and threw her cds out the car window. He also said in interviews that he didn’t like her clothing choices. It wasn’t one mistake either. He was banging their kids nanny for 3 years including when Gwen was in the hospital giving birth to their 3rd kid. There were also rumors he was in a long affair with Roger Federer who he followed around on the tennis circuit. Basically he was jealous of her career, a narcissist, and cheated on her. Of course he wanted to stay married. He enjoyed the perks of her wealth and fame, and being with her so long gave. him the false image of being a stand up guy. She deserved way better than him, but he knew how to manipulate her.
