It is so not fair she has the most beautiful skin. She looks like she is 30 years old. Such a nice person too. She should just put the music out and watch how many people get excited that she has a new album. There are certain artists that can just lie low for a few years and then pop up with new stuff and all their fans are right there to listen. She is one of those artists. Pink is another one. Kelly Clarkson also. They worked their way up the artist ladder and will always have their fans (plus new fans from the younger generations). She should not compare herself to the one hit wonders who didn't put in years and years of work. They are handed music, get paid to sing it, and then they are gone. People who started young and put their blood sweat and tears into making their careers, working small venues and building a fan base, are the ones that survive for a lifetime. True fans wait patiently and will always appreciate whatever music comes out. Her and Blake make a good couple even though their music is so different. They both beam with happiness, and are not in a rush to have this perfect wedding. They just enjoy each other and that is what matters.

I loved No Doubt too, but I don’t think they could or should try to recapture the magic. During one of the most difficult times in Gwen’s personal life, they were pressuring her to write and tour. Their wives went on tour with them, but Gwen was by herself with 2 little boys she had to bring with her. They depended on her to make the magic happen with the writing and singing, and she felt overly responsible about that. She doesn’t need that kind of pressure anymore. Her family comes first. She can do projects when she’s able to now, not because others need to make a living. They are musicians too. They can do other things as well. The Beatles only lasted 10 years as a group, but that doesn’t make them any less iconic.

Gwen was with one man for 20 years and married to him for 14 years even though he didn’t treat her well. I think she knows what love and commitment are. Blake picked out the ring, not Gwen. She’s proud of it, but I bet she would’ve been happy with a lot less. She loves Blake and already has expensive jewelry. They both were in love with their exes at one time, but it takes a lot more than that to make marriage work. They were both married to unfaithful, self-centered people before. Be happy for Blake and Gwen and forget the ugly comments. They are happy and supportive of one another.

When you act like your already married you don’t need a ceremony. People in this day have reduced a wonderful experience into just something you do for society. The marriage ceremony use to be the beginning of a life together and the beginning of a sexual relationship but very few think of it as a true religious event.

Times are different now. People aren’t getting married right out of high school anymore because they can’t afford to. In many cases it takes 2 salaries to get by. Many women attend college nowadays too in order to get jobs that pay decent. A wedding back in the old days many times also signified the first either bride or groom lived away from their parents, so they were a lot more innocent back then. Most young people have lived on their own for years now by the time they get married.

Blake divorced Miranda when he discovered she was having a months long affair with her married tour manager, Ryan Westbrook openly in Nashville. She’s kept up the married man chasing since the divorce. She broke up Evan Felker’s marriage too. Since Miranda is out of the picture, I think Blake and Gwen will do just fine.

If they were soulmates, Miranda screwed that up permanently by cheating on Blake for months openly while everyone in Nashville knew. I don’t think he’d ever go for possibly being humiliated like that again. Blake has said in recent interviews, “ you think you know what love is, but I didn’t until Gwen came along.” I think he’s more mature now and understands that it takes respect and friendship as well as love to make it work. Chemistry only gets you so far if you want it to last.
