Gwent | I COULDN'T BELIEVE DAGON WAS THIS GOOD IN 11.2

I finally got around to playing Dagon in 11.2 and after 3 days of testing, I found the perfect consume to Deathwish ratio. If you're looking to climb to pro with monsters this season, I definitely recommend giving this deck a try.

So, I got a fun banner made for my channel to change things up a little which features characters from a few of my favourite series. I'm still messing around with logo concepts on my own, but swapped my profile picture for now while I learn how to use Adobe Illustrator. 😅 My final logo will be different and say "QC" like it always has. I was annoyed that the blue in the banner didn't match the blue in my profile picture so I changed it early.

Cool fact for any fellow Witcher fans reading this, including Qcento himself: a segment of the round 1 part of the Regis journey song that Q was using all throughout this video is taken from the What Lies Unseen track from Witcher 3, and part of that is extremely similar to a part of the song Born To Darkness part 1 from the film Interview with the Vampire starring Tom Cruise. In the What Lies Unseen quest where the song plays, you could say you almost interview the Unseen Elder vampire. Fitting that you were using the Unseen Elder leader skin too, Q. Both songs can be found on KZbin, so you can compare for yourself if you so wish. Marcin P (who composed the track which was remixed in a way for Gwent) is a musical genius.

I made a Witch hunter Deck for myself a year ago (pretty much throw everything with the Witch hunter tag into it plus some helping cards; leader ability is off the books), simply because I like themed decks. It is still surprisingly effective, especially against Nilfgaard milling decks and Monster Vampire Decks. Once you learn good card combinations at every round start you can pretty much bully the other player by targeting good value cards and denying them, while also building up 2 tall cards in your deck for the 3rd round by farming bounties. Decks with a lot armour, veil or death wish are it's weakness, but I don't mind. Since I haven't encountered those recently I've been on a winning streak. I really like this Dagon deck. I have an Insect themed consume deck that I like to play from time to time and was looking at building some kind of Relict themed deck. Then I saw Dagon and was like "I've gotta build a deck for him, let's get some inspiration" and now I really wanna try yours. Just gotta collect a handful of cards I am missing :P

I was messing around with Dagon to see how silly I could get it and managed 4 of them. It gave me infinite points the opponent to his/her credit watched and didn't forfeit. If it pulls of it just plays forever until there's a forfeit 😂 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've been feeling worse about dettlaff ever since the succ buff and it being harder to fit scenario with dagon. I get into alot of board states where eating Detlaff is only 1 point more than a succubus for 5 more provisions, and I don't have enough consume to justify eating all of Dettlaff and still eat succubus every turn. So, I've been taking him out for stuff like igni or muzzle just for more control that also double as late round tempo swing.

the consume leader ability is mostly having an awkward interaction on every monster build. I wish it's tweaked into create a token unit that is able to consume units, and it only has 1 point. With that tweak, It'll be able to synergize with thrive, deathwish, Arachas and many more. Duh, Jean Auquier.

I didn't try that interaction but I'm guessing you could if he's purified first.

@@Qcento that might be worth doing. They prolly lock him anyway so you can run a purifier+ decoy. Set up insane carry over round one and destroy them round 3

Started playing Gwent about a month ago now and I've been having a blast, and am blown away by all the different deck possibilities. A few days after I started playing, someone played a Dagon deck against me, and I got destroyed with the carryover. It was honestly fun to watch, because they knew exactly what they were doing. It stuck with me though, and soon after I rolled a Dagon myself, I tried building a deck around him. My win loss was 60/40, and lately I've been getting punished for using Dagon the crazy way, trying to aim for a long round 3. Needless to say, this guide helps greatly, and I'm going to try it out tonight. Lastly, I just wanted to say thank you for making these videos, they are always so informative and your commentary makes them really fun to watch! Initally blue coin fighted red on equal terms, then blue got a point advantage and now we have all sorts of different stratagems that feel unbalanced to the point that it is a problem. Having blue with this deck and getting double brewess value is worth far more than measly 4 to 5 points, same goes with the SK discard stratagem and the neutral draw a card of your choice.. Especially this neutral stratagem scales with powercreep, all in all they are just way too overtuned and the original idea behind it to help blue get a kickstart because they could not interact with an empty boardstate, just gets shamelessly abused now. One of Gwents many "not so obvious" mistakes down the road...
