Gwent | I OPENED $72 WORTH OF ULTIMATE KEGS (40 KEGS)

I get this question often enough that I decided to make a keg opening review. In this video I will be opening $72.31 CAD worth of "Ultimate Kegs" (40), showing you what I pull and giving my honest feedback. I realized after that I missed 1 epic card in my count on keg 11 woops.
Do you think buying kegs is worth it? What is your best keg pull story?

My initial Legendary card from the starter pack was Ciri: Nova, so I lucked out on that! And then in a random ult keg I got a premium Geralt: Igni - as a non-selectable random pull, no less. Then I got Vesemir: Mentor and scrapped him because I really needed Siege. Boy was I grumpy when I wanted to play NR Witchers later... The most recent good pull is a premium Old Speartip. I also had a chance to choose a premium Dandelion: Vainglory - not kidding you! That card's premium art and music are ridiculously great for such a weird situational effect: shame the alternative was a Renew.

Those are some S tier pulls! I didn't make Geralt Igni premium until this patch I'm pretty sure. I'll have to take a look at Vainglory. Never seen him premium during a match for obvious reasons. 😅

@@Qcento The Voice of Gwent website has the premium version recorded, and it has the most *amazingly pompous* ditty from Witcher 3. Merely playing it is winning the match, even if the game would thing otherwise. If it could also destroy Saber Tiger: Stealth, that would make it even more ridiculous.

Agreed, if you're gonna spent money in the game journey is the best deal. Plus the extra keys you get from it allows you to get ore and other materials from the reward tree that you can use to craft the cards you need.

Solid call out - starting off, I did the same thing as you; I spent about $150USD all into SK kegs. On one hand, I don't regret doing it because I could jump right in, but I also didn't understand how generous the game is in general. I think the value of buying kegs with money drops dramatically every day - glad I did it early.

Prestige Level 5 is essential before starting to dream about collecting premium cards. After that you get at least one from each kef. Duplicate premiums can be milled to get dust for other premiums. It took me over 6 months to get prestige 5 and a year to get collect all the cards (non premium) for creating any deck.

I spent ore on this one but this was put in perspective for those who just start the game with a new account and want to fast track it. I spent more than I'm proud to mention over the last few years so it's cosmetics only from now on.😂

What I find interesting is the insane amount of scrap you have 🤯. I have purchased several kegs and it's very addictive opening them but I've averaged less than 5% gold units.

Whats your View on the scraps earned from the kegs? Isnt that a decent little refund (even though getting another 2-3 legendaries and a det more epics wouldve been better)? I also do think there is an aspect to consider that if your collection wouldnt be as full, this could be a way to fill it out a bit and make it easier to get Cards further down the road since those kegs would generate more scraps (or give you the right cards right away). I do Agree with you though in the sense that the Price is a bit too steep all things considered. Great vid as always man looking forward to see more

I would say that if you're newer to the game and are looking for more scraps you'd probably do better by getting faction specific kegs since the card pool is smaller and you would get more duplicates. I'd recommend sticking to one faction at first just so you can focus on building a strong deck opposed to getting a bunch of average cards from each faction. In the long run I think it would be better to go for ultimate kegs since most of us would like to play numerous factions.

Battle passes (journey in this case) are always better for you money in any game. The only difference is that you need to play to unlock it, while buying directly doesn't.

if You guys are looking for reward points: check out all the contracts. even better: if You bought any Journey: double check on the contracts. especially ciri gives you tons of reward points e.g. after using the unicorn coin 🦄 50 times or so...... i hate using the unicorn coin.....

Yeah I only ever spend on premium pass and use keys to earn ore to buy kegs. I’ve opened 15 kegs in a row and only got 1 epic card lol 😆

I started playing when it came to PS4. I don't know what stage of release it'd be called. I took a few month break and then switched to PC on a new account. I want to say this was end of 2018 - early 2019.

There are XP points and a level system to level 60. Every time you hit level 60 it starts over. Every time it starts over it's called a Prestige. If you look at the contracts section in game you'll see there are different rewards that are permanent each time you Prestige up to the 11th and final time.

I just save keys and when I need a new deck I can mill a few thousand scraps and voila. I haven't spent a dime on Gwent

Ore/Kegs are that expensive? wow i didnt know that. sorry but i think buying single premium cards with meteorite powder is much more worth it. after all You can get about 10 premium legendaries with that (forgot the exact factor so feel free to correct me). It's pointless cus you can buy 7 indie card games in steam and android, like Griftlands, Hand of Fate 2, Yu-Gi-Oh Legacy, Trouble With Robots, Dungeon Maker etc. Heck, you should instead just buy Thronebreaker and probably Etherlords 2.
