GWENT | MY FIRST TIME PLAYING MEDITATING MAGES

This is my first time playing meditating mages. When you're able to pull off the combo it's pretty amusing but I don't see this being a competitive deck. In this video I talk about card selection, reasoning and strategy before playing 4 games with live commentary for reference.

Pro tip : Tissaia's effect is an end of turn effect, as well as the patience effect, and since the game check for end of turn effect left from right melee before range, it will check if the patience of the meditating mage is activated BEFORE resetting their order ability with Tissaia's effect, so playing Tissaia on the left of the melee row is better because it give you one turn of patience. and playing her on the right of range row mean you lose the turn of patience (and if you count on the adept to make some points, they won't trigger since patience don't trigger since the order ability isn't up at the time the game check for patience trigger) (it's even more important if you play alumni and Leticia Charbonneau, because then, if you play tissaia on the right of the range row mean your mages won't activate the patience effect ! on the turn you activated Leticia ! (and let's be honnest, that kinda counter the utility of playing Leticia) so always play Tissaia on the left of your melee row ! (it's "just" one turn of patience if you play meditating mages, but it can be so much worse if you try for very high value alumni (although, there's better options that Tissaia in alumni, she's strong but kinda overkill ... (especially since it's still kinda easy to lock or kill Leticia and If tissaia doesn't reset Leticia's ability she's way less usefull)) Edit, i writed this comment before the end of the video, I see that you noticed it at the end but yeah, tissaia needs to be played on the left of the melee row for maximum efficiency !

Meditating Mages we’re really annoying when they appeared in the game. Nowadays I face them maybe once per month and I enjoy to play against them.
