Great to watch really interesting would love to see more videos like that especially as the seasonal work changes. we bought some candles and honey from you at Christmas all lovely, thank you, and wondered if you shredded your own cardboard. What a great machine for packaging. my other half makes vintage tractor parts and panels and has already re-used your boxes and shredded packing.

Busy as a bee and great to see all your ways to reduce waste and cost savings. I'm lucky enough to have a local beesupplier in Aberdeenshire so give them as much business as possible to support them and reduce postage costs

Great video Gruff. I like the many systems you have running. We run a few hundred hives and still both work full time and it’s systems and processes that keep everything running smoothly. You still put us to shame though!
@gwenyngruffydd Жыл бұрын
I don’t know about that. Credit to you for running a few hundred and work full time! I could not do it. Really struggled even on 3 days a week. Your right systems and processes are crucial

Excellent Video, I like the topic. Keep it up, one thing, why don't you use an uncapping knife? You surely have one in the shop 🙂

Loved this video Griff! Looking forward to the series. Do your kids speak English as well as Welsh? Pretty impressive if they do at that age. Are you planning on selling those wooden nucs in your shop or are they just for bee sales?
@gwenyngruffydd Жыл бұрын
Thanks Dan, Yes they speak both, but are stronger on the welsh side at the moment. Yes they will be for sale in the shop too 😊

I agree about the prices at the moment, it's crazy. I don't think many out there realise the cost of wholesale goods, hopefully things will start to come down.

No one knows just how much goes into running a business until they see it first hand. As for the prices sky rocketing. A lot as well is greedy companies trying to squeeze as much as they can. Look at Gas and Oil prices they go up like a rocket and slowly down like a feather, thats if and when they do go down. It strange how it only works in the favor of vast profits. Blame this and blame that but never look at teh real culprits, Right that is me done with politics for a years now back to the bees haha Did I hear correctly you are still extracting honey? Our os all done before September with out fail. But we have only got about 200 members to keep supplied, So nothing as big as your opporation. Any ways keep the good work up. Love this video!

Awesome job, Gwenyn, but I think you put off a lot of people for becoming a full time beekeeper 🤣How did you manage all of this last year and worked as a ranger at the some time?
@gwenyngruffydd Жыл бұрын
😂😂 Truth is worked every night and every weekend to the point of massive stress and started losing weight towards the end. Was unhealthy and couldn’t go on like that any longer. I only did the Ranger job for 3 days a week but it killed me having that work load with a 3 day a week job.

@davidmoore613 Жыл бұрын
Sorry to disagree but though they might 'look' better sold in wood, correx boxes are certainly not single use.
@gwenyngruffydd Жыл бұрын
These ones are made by Thornes.
@gwenyngruffydd Жыл бұрын
That’s true not entirely single use but give them a few years and they will be useless. Sun brakes them down and once their dented they lose strength.
