Great honey flow from the ling heather here in north Wales.

How about a video explaining what to do once the supers are off? I think a lot of people are scared that their bees will swarm after removing the supers because all of a sudden you've got a lot of bees that had (maybe) 4 supers to bees with only a brood box.

I think I might be saved with the heather which is all around where I live - keeping bees since the 80’s and this will be my most frugal summer honey crop.

For your first room , super storage, have you considered a cupboard / small room to warm a stack before extraction

Some of my sites are finished even with the heat there’s nothing coming in but some sites the bees are finding clover which is very unusual at this time of the year because it’s used to be burnt off and too dry with the heat.

Trivia🌀-Did you know the reason the HiveAlive hive tool is “Bright Yellow& Neon Green” is because it’s following the colors of GOLF ⛳️ Balls… Of course, we put our Hive Tool down and are trying to find it- now it should be easier👌😂

Keep one hive tool. Never leave the bee apiary without it. Keep two hive tools. Always looking for one or both of them.
@lynnerousseau96763 күн бұрын
@@richardhyatt-beekeeping I use 1 hive tool per Apiary so as not to transmit any potential disease issues between apiaries - then at the end of the day when back home… I 🔥to disinfect them 🌻.

With the resin floor as well, you won't know yourself. Bright, easy to clean. And the cherry on the top, cutting down on manual handling.

In 25 years of beekeeping never had such clear honey it’s a colour of lemonade. It’s because there’s no honeydew this year.

Getting the advice you sought has brought up the levels you needed Boyo!! Really huge changes just getting the floor drains in, the rear bottling area and the epoxy floors. It was all worth doing , like you say, furture proofing your business and getting it spot on at the start is a hard pill to swallow but the benefits of get it right once and for all are a hundred fold!! Well done!! Nice job!! 🍯👍🤩🎯😎🫶🐝👊

This is our first year beekeeping and so we don’t know what’s normal and what’s not, so I’m really relieved to hear u say this, we thought we had failed miserably and that we wasn’t going to get any honey because it’s only this week we are starting g to see them start to fill the supers. I’ll sleep well after seeing this 😃😂👍
