Recently purchased the GWG-2000 and Part 1 plus Part 2 of these tutorial videos are a great help, thanks! Had a real tough time deciding between the 1000 and 2000, as both are uniquely looking in their own right with the awesome more classic, more military look of the 1000 and the slightly refined high-tech look of the 2000. Maybe one day I'll the 1000 as well.

I’ve watched your videos on Casio watches, bought several ( prw -2500 x 3 ) based upon your thoughts, opinion. I did some detailed homework before purchasing in every case! It started with buying my dad a g-shock for his birthday, treated myself to a GWG 1000 in the process! I agree with your comments as it’s a tractor tyre for the 1000, & just recently bought a 2000 second hand in great condition. The only thing about the 2k I like like is the light, buttons are easier to push, lcd display being better in the daytime. Other than that, the tractor tyre wins in ruggedness. My 1k is the 1a3, which I have modded with a GWG 1K GB resin bezel & 1a/9a strap ( owned since new ) 2k is 1a1 which I’ll sell. It’s nice, buy in my opinion you can’t beat the original! Subbed many moons ago, love the detailed vids 👍 you are the go to channel I return to for Casios Thank you for the content. Rob 🇦🇺

20:30 Actually the WT function on this watch, for me, is a brilliant implementation as it should be. You are in WT, you see the WT on the big analog display The HT is still shown as secondary in the smaller digital display Thats how a WT mode should be... WT on the main watch face, HT as a bonus in the smaller digital display. So I land in Australia, I got to WT set as AUS, I have my analog main time telling showing me AUS time I intend to stay there long (make it my HT for next couple of weeks) -> Swap with 1 button press in WT. I land back to my country, I go to WT and Swap again - brilliant!

Have had this watch for years now and pretty much knew how to use it, but it's an excellent refresher course! Only a minor thing but on showing the 'hands shift' function at the end, you say they remain shifted for 60 minutes - they actually only shift for about 10 seconds...

I got the new 2000 and it is really impressive, thanks for the great instructional videos and the head to head shoot out with the 1000, I will say that I'm glad I got 2000 the fact that the watch is slightly smaller and more muted makes the watch feel appropriate for wearing a suits. I love the watch and I made the purchase because of your review. Feels like a very expensive watch.

Excellent, brief and useful tutorial. I found one thing which the author did not describe properly and did not appreciate it though. It is the World Time feature where he says the ability to swap between the home city and your destination time zone is not useful. In fact, it is very useful and essential when you want to use the other features of the watch when your destination becomes your temporary home city. If you swap, you can use any other feature by moving the mode hand from the World Time…

I've had this watch for a number of years now and it is absolutely the best all around watch I've owned. The only complaint that I have is the 60 minute countdown timer. Other less expensive G-Shocks have 24-hour countdown timers, and with the number of useful functions this watch has, it's a shame that Casio could've easily made this a 24-hour countdown, but decided to make it only 60-minutes. Anything over 1 hour I have to set an alarm, and it's something I'd rather leave to the timer.

@WatchGeek3 жыл бұрын
You should have a coverage map in your instructions booklet or you can google atomic reception coverage and it will show you maps showing each tower and how far they cover, but the coverage depends on so many outside factors that being in the range doesnt guarantee a reception and also being outside doesnt necessarily mean you cant catch the signal. Okay, your tutorials are very thorough, but a little fast...thank you anyway. If I knew in advance that this watch was going to be as involved as it is, I would have never bought it. I have two other G-Shocks (one bought about 15-to-20 years ago) and never had any trouble with either...so I thought I would take a chance on the Mudmaster. Yes, it's a very good watch, but you better know what you're getting into.
@WatchGeek3 жыл бұрын
Haha I know, but it would take me an hour to record if I was slower 😅. You can always slow down the video to x0.75 speed, it might help, also, using time codes in the description you can rewatch certain sections a couple of times to get your head around it, but once you understand all the basics on one Gshock, others are just variations of the same thing, and be careful, Gshocks are a bit contagious, get one, and before you know it, you have a collection 😂
