Ppl always said G2 FNC were the underdog but for me IG was the true underdog. 2nd seed from LPL took down the tournament's favorite when everyone predicted KT to win. Hell u couldve asked someone whos doesnt even know what League is and they would still predict KT over IG. That was a dire year for Korea

That year, KT and RNG are the ones predicted to win. KT, the last hope of Korea and RNG, the one who dominated that year with Uzi. Once both of them lost in quarters, it became everyone's game. Everyone else are underdogs, not just IG.

Because they believed they could win worlds with their teams there compared to being with LCK teams. LCK only has limited option and variety of teams to be with. And when you couldn't make it on the top teams, then you'll end up in the teams with either rookies or not-so-good roster. I didn't say I was fanbasing LPL, this is literally facts and the fact that LPL offers higher budget as well. I'm not tryna say something bad about LCK if that's what you're trying to imply.

Boy you dont know what u missed. It is really the best series of Worlds ever. But trust me, the emotions you got would be 1000x higher if u had emotional attachment to those players, if u had followed their careers. Smeb, score, deft and Mata. U cant not cheer for these guys. Rookie on the other side, the mid lane god of China who never won. I watched it Live and I can remember Smeb tp at the last seconds on game 3 and boy oh boy... This series is also why I hate Deft. Dude got hard gapped
