If you're actually looking for an answer, look into what makes a 10⭐ figure for you. What emotions the show/character/pose/cloths/expression make you feel. And maybe why you like those traits. Are said emotions worth the price? Or space where higher quality figs could go? Space is money too, so don't get something just because it's cheap either. Look at the figure from a good distance (e.g. image thumbnail) and see if those good points are still easily seen, and seen at multiple angles, otherwise the interest will dwindle over time. Novelty factors may dwindle too so look for other features to enjoy about it. For instance, I like Yu-Gi-Oh but when I got the main cast and Dark Magician (DM) I realized that I only like DM. I appreciate everyone else but I don't love them. I love that the show is empowering but the characters are a hint flat for me so that emotion doesn't shine through the best when I look at the guys (or necessarily their pose). But DM is a monster so his purpose is to fight aka empowerment is obvious. And his pose is better/not stationary, and his cloths are more detailed and colorful.

Tell your amiami contact to add a sort function for highest price to lowest price and lowest price to highest price. Absolutely crazy they don't have that sort function option.

So to elaborate on their policy of only items ordered/releasing in the same month are allowed. Some times it can get hairy, like last month I had a pre order get delayed twice from Feb-March, then March to April. i had other items to to ship it with in March so that was fine, but when it got delayed I had no orders in april. Luckily this item was listed as Late April (another thing to look out for, sometimes they list as early or late whatever month it is) anyway, I did have preorders for the month of May, so I rolled the dice and cancelled the Late April pre-order (before invoice, very important) hoping it would still be in stock by May 1st so I could combine it with my May order, luckily it was and I will get my invoice for everything soon! Just illustrates that a "month" does not consist of just the next 30 days, its literally that calendar month. Anyway, hope that helps, very nice video as usual Gwyn ^^

Amiami will not disclose shipping costs until AFTER you place the order and from my experience, shipping charges are higher than elsewhere. I stopped buying from Amiami years ago because what was once a good sales price I could have gotten cheaper elsewhere when shipping was included. Did like Amiami’s rating of pre owned figure-plus-box condition.

It a rather well know information, but advice for new buyers - Amiami is great if all works well, but if you have any kind of problem, or if Amiami does a fuckup their customer service is literally the worst on the planet. They will NOT help you, they will NOT provide any compensation for their mistakes, they will NOT show any good will. So have that in mind.

Dude thanks to you I made my very first order on ami ami and got a steal. Got a Kaine Nendoroid from NieR Replicant. It's 130CA$ incl tax at Navito World, and I got it for 28$ grade C, for having a "stain on bangs". I'm a painter / artist, I'LL FIX IT. I bought 3 small figures in total, was quoted 25CA$ for ground shipping, 24CA$ for unregistered air packet, and 28$ for registered air packet. Apparently registered mail is subject to more scrutiny when it comes to duties & taxes, while unregistered mail might not. I also don't know how duties & taxes apply to all my orders being second hand. :0 Either way, I'll do registered mail for peace of mind and find out. Thank you weeb homie!!

@@handsomeawkward1822 you're completely allowed to cancel parts or your whole order at ANY TIME and as many times as you want UNLESS they have already sent your invoice. I've been buying from AmiAmi since 2013 and I've never had any issues but I am aware I live in the US and some overseas people can't afford how pricey shipping and import fees can be.

Meh. You failed to mention they don’t send notifications if a product is restocked or just released. You have to always login and check in their social media or website. If the released item is very limited , good luck. And their live chat service is down.

If you cancel too many in stock items, they will block and close your account. It's the same if you open a PayPal case if your item is damaged or lost.

Unless the figure is already released I mostly use AmiAmi as a reference, cause I'm afraid to order something in advance just to have the exchange rate fluctuate, and destroy my wallet. In a lot of cases it turns into "Why would I spend double when I can just get it from AmiAmi?"

I know when looking at preowned that the default stage the list comes in is 'updated items'. But is it the new listed items first? As sometimes 'recently updated items' seems to have fresher stock. Which have you found to included the freshest stock? Perhaps having a 'stock listed in last 24hrs' would be helpful. 'updated items' and 'recently updated items' are abit too vague.

But what about customs? 🤔 I'm restraining myself (for 15years now) because it's nearly impossible to get a precise estimate of what something will cost once it's imported in my country. I once had to pay +50% of the total price (item+shipping) despite what I've seen on official websites for sellers and shipping companies, which was a real bummer 😑

Hahaha your comment about breathing near a figure box automatically degrading the box is so true! Their preowned section is awesome but honestly Amiami never really appealed to me for preorders. I really don't like that they can't give you an estimate on the shipping for preorders...every other shop is able to give you a rough estimate so that you at least have an idea of what you will be paying. This has always been a huge turn down for me personally..at least with preorders...especially if you can't cancel your preorder whithout the fear of your account being blocked if you are not okay with their shipping cost. Doesn't seem very customer friendly to me especially for one of the biggest players in the game...

I literally bought a lot of figurines from Ebay, Mercari, Hobby Largest Japan, Entertainment Earth, Lunar Toy Store, BigBadToyStore & a few on Amiami more but too long of list on here. All of these are not cheap to hunt down what your looking for. Price around USD $170-250 or even MORE! Your gonna have to dedate on buying or not, wallet will drop to 1k dollars. I had used up $30,000 when I could of bought me a car, 2023 Toyota GR86. Sadly, that have to wait longer! lol
