One thing I recently learned: You also need to be careful with B rank figures. There have been cases, where there was damage on the figure.

amiami updates the preowned section everyday at 10am JST and not on sundays. most b ranked figures are pretty much in great condition and I even buy c ranked figures because the discount is so much that I feel like if theres something broken on it, it can most likely be easily fixed.

I just ordered my 1st anime figure on amiami. It's kanade tachibana from Angel beats from goodsmile. I thought to treat myself this Christmas. It was A- which is super good and was only £52. I think it's a steal for a 1/8 figure from my fav anime of all time-plus I've seen like crazy money like over £100-def can't commit to paying that much yet. I really want yui but I have rarely seen figure of her...

Mandarake is basically a LIFE SAVER. It's the only place I found a few really wanted figures and rather cheap and their shipment is FAST, even the cheapest one. I love this store. I'd loose shitload of money if I ever got to explore the real deal XD

My friend got a C grade Miku Figma off amiami for dirt cheap just because it was missing a tiny little tube on her back as part of her costume, I think he paid like $20 something bucks for a basically brand new Figma that was only missing a piece that was essentially already non existent!

Yeah if anything is missing it's an immediate C, so you get weird situations where the main figure can be better quality than a B

Very nice and informative video for newer collectors! Funny enough I've been collecting for close to 2 years now and when it concerns Amiami preowned section, I finally made my first purchase a couple of days ago, haha. She's supposed to be delivered tomorrow so I'm really excited to see how accurate their grading system is for myself. Hopefully she looks great because there's another Amiami preowned figure that I've combined with a preorder for this month :)

Ratings can sometimes fool you :,) I got an A figure from amiami-unopened. Well it had been opened...from the bottom and the figure had scuffs on it and damage to the hair. I reached out to amiami but they wanted me to send it back so for a $25 prize figure it wasn't worth the hassle. But for the most part The rating tends to be pretty spot on!! Id just be aware that they can let stuff slip though their fingers

Dang. At least it was only a prize figure. Surprised they wanted you to bother sending it back. When I've dealt with similar things from other stores they've just sent me another without having to return the first one.

Was going to buy 3 figures from Amiami and it cost more for shipping than the figures in the end I didnt get them which got me banned from the site apparently but w/e I suppose that shipping cost will get you.

I was thinking of buying a c grade Luka Megurine figure by max factory but it has fading of color on the back of the hair. Idk whether to bite the bullet or not 😭 I know fading can be utterly devastating to a collector

Doesn't mandarake prioritize the Japanese characters over the English names when searching? Do you have any information related to that?

English works for me. It has been a while since I did some serious searching on there but it's worked perfectly when I've looked stuff up for videos. Mandarake does sometimes slip back to the JP site instead of the English version and sometimes it's hard to tell if chrome starts autotranslating for you. So maybe that interferes with the searching a bit. If you can't find the character and the autocomplete doesn't get it for you, I'd go to the character's wiki and grab their Japanese name as a last resort.

Hi! Is there anyway to sort by price on amiami? I'm not sure if I am missing something...but I don't want to see all the super high price figures for pre-owned. Am I literally supposed to wade through 200+ pages just to browse? =/

Recently I wanted to try ordering from Mandarake but at checkout I couldn't type in my adress because the layout was only for Japanese adresses. My actual adress was already saved in the account profile but I was not being able to order from them. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Maybe double check that you were on the English site and not the Japanese one with auto translate on. It's not super obvious and trips me up sometimes

I go the route of using ebay, aliexpress, and even gamestop to get my figures though I read reviews and look for screenshots to make sure it is legit. I get cheeper good smile stuff generally.
