how interesting. I always thought it was a trick similar to the infinite staircase in super mario 64, it teleports you very slightly back when you hit a certain trigger. then I remembered, oh it's fromsoft, they don't know about compaction. Another thing, is it possible to reach the end in normal gameplay? I wonder how many cycles it takes to reach that point.

The big difference is that in SM64 it's not a boss battle, so you only have one and not two entities that you have to somehow simultaneously teleport backwards without it being perceptible.

I thought this boss room design was way more complex than what it actually is. My first guess was that the room was infinite and they somehow had managed to make you loop through it seemlessly. I'm a bit disappointed to see that it is simply a very very long corridor... :(

Do you think you can make the whole game inverted? For an example: When you spawn in firelink shrine the stairs to undeadburg is to the left instead of right, and frampts altar is to the right. But I could imagine it's hard to flip the whole map like that.
