I'm a republican but really respect Chelsea Handler, I think she's a great person. She's one person on the left who's point of view I will always listen to very carefully because I know she's extremely smart and genuinely cares about making the world a better place

Her saying that she doesn't hate those who didn't vote her way anymore because they just don't know more and aren't educated yet or have "lost their way" is not very very respectful nor intelligent. One has to understand opposing perspectives and why people have reached that opposing conclusion to be educated about any topic. If one only understands their own view, they can only ever be at most 50% of any topic. People don't agree with her for many reasons, and those reasons are not lack of education, "losing one's way" nor "not being able to learn more due to where they live". If you listened carefully and feel her statements are true for you, that is fine, but many extremely educated, people with genius level IQs around the globe also do not share her political views. For her to outright say in those things in this interview, which are so extremely far from the truth, that speaks volumes about her lack of understanding and especially her respect for others, especially you as a Republican.

I found this comment very interesting. I do find that often times we try to lend an explanation to what is, for lack of a better term, bullshit. How does one explain “hate?” I think we tend to over simplify things by simply politicizing them and then it term making a sort of binary issue. “ One has to understand opposing perspectives and why people have reached that opposing conclusion to be educated about any topic.” I found this particularly interesting, because in fact, many people do believe what they do because of ignorance or lack of diversity in their lives. I don’t want to ramble but wanted to share. Be well!

I was only going to comment because, as an Independent very much in support of our current administration, I found those exact comments to be incredibly insulting, condescending and not very smart of Chelsea Chandler at all. I understand the celebrity bubble is a very real and intoxicating thing to be part of and, I'd imagine, after a while it could possibly make you feel removed from reality and very guilty once you realize the effect/impact it's had on you as a human being. I think it's very brave to allow yourself to go down that path to have that hard realization and do something to get real and better yourself, but that's not "white privilege" that's likely an affect of "Hollywood/celebrity privilege." Please don't be irresponsible and put all white people in your bubble. Own it for yourself as a human being and someone who's been privileged most of her adult life being a superstar. That would be a really great thing if she owned it like that, in my opinion. Please leave the rest of us out of it. I'd recommend Chelsea's next read to be either of these books by two African American authors... 'Blackout' by Candace Owens or 'Black Rednecks and White Liberals' by Thomas Sowell.

I am thinking about aging a lot today because of my wrinkles on my forehead. Of cause i noticed Chelsea and Gwyneth had work done. Hyaluron or Botox idk. I'm so sad that women are not allowed to age. I'm in my late 20s and i freak out. Its disturbing. I dont want to think about when i'm over 30. How i will look. Women are being shamed for using botox and women are shamed for having wrinkles. Gwyneth Paltrow who was born in USA and lived there as its citizen for 50 years is just recently been introduced to the notion of white privilege???? I am from Balkans, predominantly white geographical area and I was aware of white privilege since I became an adult. (I am also 50 years old). What is happening here? Another layer of ups, I am actually nice, but I wasn't aware what was happening??? Who can believe this? I don't, and I am as white as you can be.
