Paltrow was the mistress of Harvey for years. He got her 9 movie roles, an Oscar and made her the image of Miramax. Then, when the allegations were out, she made up a story like Brad Pitt stood up to Weinstein and threatened him. Lol, had Brad really done that he would have kissed his career goodbye long ago. Weinstein would've destroyed his career. Thats why he was known as The Punisher

Weinstein could have feared BP would have not stayed silent about what had happened if he would have tried to ruin BP's career. So they had a deal: Weinstein stops his sick moves towards Paltrow and does not ruin BP's career, BP remains silent.
