"Aim high. We have always achieved what we wanted to, never in the the timeline. We fail on timeline, but that feels like the right fail to make as oppose to not achieving what you are trying to achieve technically."
In this View From The Top, Christopher Stromeyer, MBA '22, sits down with Gwynne Shotwell, President and COO of SpaceX, to discuss balancing ambitious goals, putting people on Mars in a decade, leading collaboratively, and why she likes making decisions with data.
"You face adversity and I think the only way to get through it is to understand the situation to the greatest extent you can and then be honest with yourself. Pick a path and do it and don't be afraid to say you made a mistake if you make a mistake," says Shotwell.

@@madomk3438 Elon bought Twitter for his own defense. Long before the Twitter deal became public Elon's two companies have built a sizable enemies list. SpaceX has totally humiliated Boeing/ULA/Blue Origin and while NASA needs SpaceX, NASA now has to explain their money pit project called SLS Elon Musk is buying Twitter to keep his voice from being silenced. He saw Social Media silence a President of the United States. He also saw that President go thru all the growing pains of creating a Social Media platform from scratch. So buying Twitter seemed the better option. The panic from the left is over CENSORSHIP, they are all for CENSORSHIP, Elon doesn't. I know Musk is a fan of the Babylon Bee and when Twitter banned them and shortly after he made the post about "Do you think Twitter supports freedom of speech" by this time he was buying shares and made the decision. To this video. Gwynne Shotwell is amazing. I don't hear anything from the left leaning media about this female executive. She is smart, she is an engineer not a MBA (those are worthless). She knows her stuff and after witnessing the success of SpaceX, it is safe to say she knows how to run a aerospace company.

It kills me that of so many common sense voices trying to bring out the truth and details that the MSM is omitting, repressing, censoring, spinning and lying about, the one thing that is either avoided or not known, or suspected but not studied to have a deep understanding, or understand but decide against addressing in their videos for some reason, there IS an ELEPHANT in the political room that HAS TO BE TALKED ABOUT!!! I know that MORE PEOPLE are learning about this "ELEPHANT" because I talk to many who see the elephant for what it is! We can call the "elephant" the "Deep State", the "Insiders", the "Hidden Oligarchy", the "Comintern", globalist-capitalists, the Cabal, the International Bankers, or the GPS( Global Power Structure" are any number of VAGUE references to men, groups, and conspiratorial evil. BUT, here's what's missing!!! NAMES OF GROUPS! NAMES OF THE MEMBERS OF THESE GROUPS! Links to one another and WHERE these human AGENTS and OPERATIVES are in society are known to FAR TOO FEW CITIZENS! Many are naming and blaming groups like the Illuminati, Bilderberg, Jesuits, Catholic Popes, the Masons, and others. But without clear lines of connections and money flows our understanding of this structure will remain vague and not well known or understood in order to more effectiviely combat their influence and control of government around the world. Many of those mentioned are in countries OUTSIDE the U.S. and "international". And yes, they have network ties to associate groups and people inside the U.S.! And THAT'S where Americans... North Americans... need to focus their attention in order to expose and rout the agents of globalism from their spider holes! We are not doing the critical job of FOLLOWING THE MONEY either!!! Let's understand things from the point of view as if WE WERE AT THE TOP of this conspiratorial pyramid! WE are the ones with the money to carry out the gradual building of a World Government (that we control) but that humanity thinks is necessary to have a "sustainable world", a "secure world", a world free of "terrorism", "climate change", etc, etc. Of course we have to create various revolutionary fronts and "fear campaigns" (fake and real crises) to minimize the resistance to the implementation of draconian laws, rules, controls and regulations we need to solidify our long-term control of the whole planet - but it won't be easy or fast! We must be as patient as the circumstances exist but we also must push the envelope as hard as we dare without drawing too much attention or "fire" from our targeted victims. And our principle means to accomplish our plans is the control of all information that could indict us or cause us serious trouble! We must control the mass media, all schools of any type, all the "approved" books for use in "our schools" to get our "degrees". We must control every major political party in the U.S.! Even rising 3rd-party "threats". And of course we must control the policy-making departments within the government of the United States itself. And we MUST control the office of the President of the U.S. and not allow any outsider to hold that position. Why? Because the President and his cabinet control the "appointments" to Executive Branch bureaucracies where we need our agents at the top to keep from revealing too much to the public or kick off investigations that cause us too much exposure. Congratulations if you have read this far! This subject has been covered in many excellent books, starting with The Shadows of Power by James Perloff, Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley, the Anglo-American Establishment by Carroll Quigley, None Dare Call it Conspiracy by Gary Allen, Global Tyranny by William F. Jasper, the Insiders by John F. McManus, and the best REGULAR source of dependable analysis is The New American magazine! www.TheNewAmerican.com AMERICA IS BEING SOLD OUT FROM WITHIN!!! And there's one PRINCIPLE group that is at the center! They are known as the CFR! The Council on Foreign Relations based in New York City and formed in 1921 and who's, founder Edward Mendel House, was a traitor and globalist, not a supporter of and defender of our nation's Constitution. To get a briefing on their influence and a little of their history, especially relevant to the Trump years, read this article FULLY! www.TheNewAmerican.com/cfr-still-the-power-behind-the-throne The CFR has had one of their members in the top positions of our government for DECADES. Without exception, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve and many board members have been and are members today! The Secretaries of State and Defense have also been CFR members as well as their "assistant" secretaries, and deeper, and those don't change much from admin to admin! And nearly ever CIA Director has been a CFR member! Every administration starting with Jimmy Carter has had more than 230 CFR members in control of key policies. Obama had 268 and now Biden with over 300 CFR members getting high salaries on the backs of the American taxpayers while they sell us out at EVERY TURN. SO, WHY DO THEY HATE TRUMP SO MUCH??? That's indicated by his administration being the SINGLE EXCEPTION from 1976 to 2022 that saw a REDUCTION of CFR members and a SIGNIFICANT reduction at that!!! Trump had/allowed/chose only 100 CFR members to serve in his! TO BE SURE!!! That's 100 TOO MANY! But Trump also successfully planted the concept of "America 1st" and campaigned "against" globalism but without NAMING the GLOBALISTS! (First Big Mistake!) If America "recovered" and "prospered" so quickly by ousting CFR agents down to 100... imagine the even greater gains if there were NONE!!! READ the ARTICLES ABOVE!!! Search, buy and read the books I mentioned above as well. BELIEVE ME!!! You won't regret the education you will receive from them. BOOKMARK the link to The New American magazine and subscribe to it in print! Sign up for their free email ALERTS! Good luck my fellow Americans... you going to need it. Faith without works if dead! So ACT!

I meant it as proof that females are just as capable as males. I guess that, at this time, it's kind of dangerous to mention anything about gender, as we are extremely sensitive about the subject. I understand, though, as we are in a massive transition, where civilization is coming to grips with more changes than any other time in civilization. Once we have moved through this time where we look for what can hurt us, I have faith that the real potential of the love of the human race will surface and we won't be so concerned with every little statement and be more accepting of one another. We are not there yet.

Next to Lisa Su I regard Gwynne Shotwell the most important female leader in technology. I have immense respect for her and I think Elon chose her as president because he knew that she is the perfect complement to his abilities. A company that is led by 2 people that think and operate in this way is almost ubeatable, and frankly, it shows. The way SpaceX revolutionaized spaceflight in just a decade is mind numbing. And obviously they are just getting started. Once Starship is operational you can essentially stop flying all other rockets because their price of dollar/ton to orbit will seem ridiculous.

If/when Starship becomes operational, it will inspire/force other companies to at least be comparable in capability. Otherwise, there would literally be no excuse for their existence, except to serve the political/ideological needs of those financing it. The real question is, will the existence of an operational Starship drive demand for the use and expansion of space infrastructure? Having the ability and utilizing the ability to full effect are two wildly different things.

Not really, cubesats are not economical to launch on starship unless you want to compete with starlink.
@gasdive
@gasdive Жыл бұрын
@@i3_13 no. That's not correct. A Starship launch is projected to cheaper (2 million) than the current cost of an Electron launch (7.5 million). Even if you only want to launch 300 kg, it's going to be cheaper to hire a whole Starship launch. Of course that might change when Rocket Lab nails reusability, but they're still planning on expending the upper stage, so I think there will still be a cost per launch advantage to SpaceX. Even for very small payloads. When you consider the launch frequency... There's no comparison. Starship will launch more often per day than Rocket Lab launches in a year. That's before you consider the cost of miniaturisation of a cubesat, and the cost of the dispenser. With Starship you can have the same container that you used to freight the satellite to the launch simply put aboard the Starship and have a person unpack it, switch it on and shove it out the door once you're on orbit. That's at least tens and probably hundreds of thousands saved on that alone. Plus with size and weight not an issue, it's cheaper to build, can have more powerful transmitters for more data and have larger off the shelf instruments plus greater redundancy and more fuel for a longer service life. For less money.
@i3_13
@i3_13 Жыл бұрын
@@gasdive hahaha. 2 million? How much does a raptor cost, 2 million? How many raptors in a rocket and a starship?How many times will it fly? Rocket lab has already successfully catch their electron rocket. Their projection is only 1million a launch. 2 million starship launch is a pipe dream. Even if that happens it will not be economical against rocket labs' rocket.
