My god that's one hell of a block you live on look like about a 10 mile ride on it looking at the welding I'd go with the wooden deck m8 🤣😉

Looks like a lot of fun to ride with a crazy smile! I liked your technique for cable tie brackets too.

It is fun, very light and agile ( unlike me ) as for the cable tie brackets, they work really well it's just a shame about my welding 🤣

Hey at least its up and running and out there..Yes the Speedo on those can be upto 10 mph out on the high side. Its a generic speedo designed for larger wheels.

I believe many chinese scooters have got a "dream speedo" for consumer satisfaction even from factory stock, i.e. even the ones that have speedos made specifically for that bike. Unless you meant they are always using internals made for 17" wheels, which is possible I guess, but I just find it hard to believe. I testdrove a 125cc and 150cc, they are at least 20% optimistic at the high end, which on the 150cc was almost 15mph... I think its similar to how older motorcycles and cars (predating GPS in everyones phone) of the sporting variety often did the same. Old kawasaki zzr 1100 had a 25mph error from factory on the top end for example, though that is of course less of a percentage than these chinese scooters. Cheers.
