I appreciate that you go over variations of the technique, plus the subtle things. Thank you for giving us so much.

Mate I absolutely love these Sankaku videos. They are incredibly useful for my Jiu-Jitsu game. I practice them on my grappling dummy.

Sankaku is one of my go to subs. Get it from rear, mount, inverted and bottom side control.

These are awesome. I love all the Double Trouble rear strangle moves where you have to grab your ankle. I'm going to master all of these. Many domos.

Thank you Maximus. Leg chokes are powerful and grabbing your ankle as you apply them really adds more to the choking action.

Great ,if someone was doing straight something like rear naked choke or kata ha jime , and you get flipped or turned over , how would you transition to above in videos .I think i see for myself a sort of thing above would help in such a case . Thank

Wow, really amazing techniques. The sankaku used to control the whole upper-body at 13:24 was brutal, it seems completely inescapable. Just curious, do you guys think that technique works on all sizes, what if it were a strongman, somebody like Hafthor or Brian Shaw? Could you trap opponents that large?

Thanks for your kind words Patrick. As far as getting a Sankaku on a really big opponent, while anything is possible, the attacker would have to possess long enough legs to make the triangle form right. This is also a situation where people with short, muscular legs have difficulty forming the triangle. It certainly can be adapted, but it's something that requires work and adaptation to make it successful. But, if the attacker is the same size as his opponent, moves like this are usually pretty reliable. Hope this helps.

Why does ura sankaku jime look like a hadaka jime with your legs to me?
