Coatings durability vary depending on many factors including prep, climate , where the car is kept , what chemicals are used to wash the car , plus many many more factors , it may last 3 months for one person and 7 months for someone else

I reckon with a real decon wash, like a traffic film remover, a more acidic calcium cleaning wash some of lower panels may come back even more

Looks brilliant, I put it on my mx5 a few months ago and it still looks like the day I put it on. As it’s garage I could imagine it should last a year plus with the ceramic detailer as a topper

Probably the best DIY coating, going to try it soon. I have seen a review that shows that 2 coats preform even much better as for durability.

@@FABAutomotiveDetailing I just did a Griots 3in1 ceramic spray yesterday. If I wanted to apply this, do I just clean my car again and apply it? Or do I have to remove the Griots ceramic spray with isopropyl alcohol and then apply this Byron coat?

@@jefferrrson1x You would have to remove the Griot’s product because this product needs naked clear coat to bond to. It won’t bond to a sealant or wax.

Do you detail out of the back of the journey to? If so I'd love to see the set up. I found it super hard to fit everything for the first few times but now I kinda have it down

that durability is really good was that with just 1 coat or 2 coats? If you wanted could you just apply another coat now to areas that are fading or would you have to polish off all the old coating then reapply.

You would just need to do a light decon then you could reapply.

Did you top this with anything over the course of the 9 months, or was this just the CanCoat on its own? If so that's very impressive. I'm looking that this, as I've been a big fan of Wet Coat just as a short term topper, and obviously this seems like a no brainer being from the same family of products.

Actually I would top it with Wet Coat every 3-4 washes

What if i have to re apply it after a year, so i should be going through all the prep stages again? Iron cleaning, clay, compounding, ipa wipe and everything? Or can i just clay it, give it a finishing polish and re apply after ipa wipe?

You can definitely just clay, light polish and re apply. Only compound when absolutely necessary

A little TLC with wet coat during the 9 months, and you have an 12 month coating. So the new EVO will be 18-24 months? 😂 If they keep under promise on can coat.

Yes absolutely! I washed it a hand full of times and used Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid but never used Wet Coat. I was trying to see how long I could get without a lot of maintenance.

Has it really been 9 months? My goodness where does the time go. Can Coat looks very good. Of course alot has to do with the guy that put it on. Both product and installer are top notch.

All this chemistry enters nature, the soil, and the groundwater without hindrance. A sad sight. There are countries where such public washing is prohibited, and you have to go to a washing box where everything is properly disposed of. That's how it should be everywhere. It's a pity that there aren't enough intelligent people who just do it on their own to avoid harming nature.

Most detailing products are environmentally safe and ok to go in the ground or in a drain. Look it up it’s not hard to find. I did say “most” not all though. There are a lot worse things going into nature then detailing products. One Volcanic eruption does more damage to the earth then humans have ever done in history.
