I used a different, but similar ceramic wheel coating on my truck and got the same results. Took all day on a Saturday to remove and prep, but now 3 months later, the difference in ease of cleaning is amazing. Even if you don't want to coat your entire vehicle, if you like your wheels nice and clean without multiple applications of harsh chemicals and lots of scrubbing, definitely coat the wheels.

I'm also trying to get my buddy with the ISF to run Geyon Rim I've used their trim coat on my Subaru and it's held up great, like anything prep is key I think. On the Hawk pads I also told him to re bed them in down the road I think that from day to day driving you lose some pad transfer on the rotor.

I had the wheels coated on my 911 GT3 as soon as I picked it up new from the dealer. I take it through the touchless car wash whenever I get gas and the wheels still look brand new.

I have ceramic pro on my wheel and I noticed the wheel cleaner runs off quicker and doesn’t stay on the surface and breakdown the brake dust I don’t know if that’s because of the coating possibly

if your using an IK9 try the gray nozzle your mix may be too wet and try to foam dry without a pre rinse

Are the rim ceramic coatings truly any different from the paint coatings? I have leftover from my consumer grade coating and would like to coat rims with it.

you know i am not 100% certain on that but they claim through marketing that the rim coatings are more heat resistant however many shops use the same on the paint for the rims and calipers and charge lots of money as well. so its up to you to try what you have left over.

How’s that foam sprayer for rims coming along? I saw it on the website, is it that much better than ik9 ? Because it’s more expensive and Ive already purchased the wheel cleaner is the reason I ask. The ik9 is $86 on amazon for same size you currently offer, I do like the added compressed air feature but I’m only washing two cars not detailing.

its great but much more expensive, i offer the IK modified and also the smaller Foam It modified as well on the site. still testing and working out numbers to offer these other units, the valve is the best thing ever forget pumping it is to tiring.

This may be a dumb question, but will balance lead still stick to the wheel after you aply the coating? I'm planning to do this on my new wheels before I install the tires.

not a dumb question the coating does affect the stick on weights i have had many fall off so be careful it might be best coating after tires are mounted.

Is your auto fanatic wheel cleaner completely safe for ceramic coatings, or do you reckon the long dwell time of your product is slightly compromising the coating each time? I ask because I know you haven’t traditionally used coatings and wonder if you designed the product with coatings in mind.

the 580 and the attachment i bought from homedepot.com best blower ever consider buying an extra battery i have the 3.0. tried the 5.0 but they make the unit too heavy to use the 3.0 are the best i can do 4 wheels, entire car and jambs off one charge and then 30% of the next car usually.

best time to do it is when they are new out of the box, I did a full video on applying the Gyeon coating with the tires mounted and i went nuts polishing every minute mark out, check that video out on this channel a while back. It was my first ceramic coating video

like 6k, i have a new multi piece set showing up today from the same manufacture. Carbon wheels are too risky in the NYC area with the potholes, if i lived in a better area i would do the Forgeline Carbon fiber wheels

I love clean rims as much as the next car nut. I've also been trying a bunch of products that are marginal at best. But!!! 38 times?? After that my conclusion would be that nothing really works absolutely and just deal with it while your able. You know before back, knee and elbow pain sets in. Sheeeeesh!!!

i have a new set of wheels showing up today and I am deliberating on testing a new spray coating prior to mounting or not, have not decided yet. I really do not want to have adhesion issues with wheel weights it is common for them to fall off around here.

Auto Fanatic i was worried too about the weights. Had ceramic coat and topped with BeadMaker. I mentioned the concern to the tech. So far I haven’t had any issues, weights are holding strong.

Soap and water would have achieved this on a coated wheel. No need for any type of wheel cleaner.

you obviously do not own a high performance car with 15 inch brembo brakes and gloss black wheels. car wash soap from any foam cannon even high Ph stripping soaps would not eat up brembo brake dust by the chemistry of the formulas. it is not designed to do so.

Agree. With Q2 Rim, I do my wheels dead last and simply use the remaining CarPro Reset wash that's in my bucket with a SpeedBrush. I could foam them or whip out some sprays, etc. but there's really no need and I don't mind just simply hosing them off and using the remaining soap on them with a brush. Comes right off with ease.
