From double-twisting Yurchenkos to triple backs to a kip (or an "upstart" if you're British), competitors at the 2022 World Championships in Liverpool share which skills gave them the most difficulty while learning.
Athletes included: Marine Boyer, Carolann Heduit, Elisabeth Seitz, Nicola Bartolini, Melanie de Jesus dos Santos, Pantely Kolodii, Georgia-Mae Fenton, Georgia Godwin, Ondine Achampong, Alice Kinsella, Tisha Volleman, Natalia Escalera, Jessica Gadirova, Jennifer Gadirova, Eythora Thorsdottir, Rifda Irfanaluthfi, Emma Slevin, Morgan Osyssek-Reimer, Ellie Black, Sofus Heggemsnes, Heath Thorpe, Rayderley Zapata, Andreas Toba, Casimir Schmidt, Ewan McAteer, Emma Spence, Ana Barbosu, Giarnni Regini-Moran, Paul Degouy, Martijn de Veer, Nicolau Mir, Rhys McClenaghan, Ferhat Arican, Halle Hilton, Lais Najjar, Brody Malone, Arthur Nory.

The Gadirovas are so exuberant and powerful in their gymnastics I'm always a little surprised by how soft spoken they are in person haha

Same it reminds me of hearing Catalina Ponor speak. Voice did not match the face or performance at all. Lol

With so many saying DTY I'm losing hope to see Amanars ever again in competition 😭 Simone please come back!

Most of them had a DTY already just because it's hard to learn doesn't mean it's hard to perform (for them)... I remember Biles' said a double double on floor was really hard for her but look where she's now

@@gym_analysis I agree but then Amanar is whole different beast compared to DTY (which is pretty much the standard vault for elite at this point minus Chinese I guess) which some of the best gymnasts aren't able to pull off hence my dashed hopes considering the hardness that these gymnasts felt learning DTY. Not to mention CoP completely deincentivizing any reason to perform Amanar when an reasonably performed DTY can reach a 14 but a slightly rough Amanar will be subject to a lot more deductions which quickly diminishes that 0.4 buffer scoring high 13s with a higher scope of injury. I don't see anybody throwing an Amanar in the AA unless Simone is back (vault finals maybe but seeing the field this year was just depressing). Amanar should've been 5.6 at least, imo it takes a lot more technique to get an Amanar right because I've seen Shallon Olsen's or Paseka's "Cheng" which vaguely looked like Cheng but still got credited whereas Amanar is really difficult to get around and be square on landing to get credited at all. I hope next quad they do something about it otherwise we can pretty much consider Amanar vault dead in WAG. I love their push for artistry but I feel across all events (except bars maybe) performing big skills is kinda being penalized almost in a way and the level of skills that we are seeing might go down because of harsh deductions as why'd someone do big skills when the deductions on them amount to literal deficit.

@@deepeshmathuria if an amanar was worth 5.8 again im sure that everyone would be training it. the problem is the code. in 2012 it used to be worth almost a point higher than a dty which is why it was more common

Is there a longer version of this same video? It'd be great to hear their entire answers

We had to fit it into 90 seconds in order to post it as an Instagram reel - we may do an extended version with everyone's full answers at some point in the future :)

Love the questions and answers, but the edit was way too fast. Not enough time to read the gymnast’s name and/or subtitled answers, while also listening for their answer. I had to do a lot of pausing and rewinding. Still, love what you do! 💕

Agree with the others. This was super cute but need a little more time between cuts so we can actually read their response! :)
