Your coded language is showing. Did you see the routines? Do you understand the scoring and the difficulties of certain elements that are added and how they scored. That point one difference made a difference and who won the medal but if you don’t get scored for something difficult, you do then you don’t get scored for something you difficult, you do and it’s not fair. Now someone else we put it that they believe the scorn was fair but believe that should’ve been scored higher on one of her difficult elements. Now that could be left up for interpretation, but your comment is fully out of bounds. FYI - Ana did a fantastic routine and it was heartbreaking to see the medal taken away from her BUT the person who was really robbed was Sabrina (the 5th place finisher from Romania). She was given a -.1 deduction for out of bounds and she did not go out. She submitted an inquiry and it was rejected. All of this happened BEFORE Jordan went on floor. If Sabrina had not been deducted for OOB she would’ve won the bronze. Jordan’s coaches were right to inquire about her difficulty (though it’s questionable as to whether or not the skill they credited her for was actually fully completed). But even if it was, Sabrina did not go OOB and so if you add the .1 deduction to her score it would be higher than Jordan’s (even with the correction). Obviously, not Jordan or her coaches fault. Just bad/biased judging.

Im glad that Jordyn was able to medal, and she is my sentimental favorite, but the Romanians were underscored. Voineau had no neutral deduction, and even the NBC commentators noted that. Both of the Romanians had cleaner landings than Jordan.

I don't disagree with you about the landings but Jordan's combos had a higher skill level and it's not like she fell nor did she go out of bounds- they just weren't artistically as good as what she's done in the past. But the degree of difficulty deserves to be rated accurately. This is absolutely on the judges and why they kept underscoring events and routines. They need to get it right the first time. This just happened in swimming to American Katie Walsh. She was awarded the silver and then the metal was reversed because they realized she turned incorrectly when finishing a lap. Can't imagine how crushed she was. I would have loved to see an outcome where they were both gymnast were given the Bronze medal or that the Romanian gymnast be given a Commendation or something because that correction was devastating.

She didn't step over the line. that's something that is not controversial and can be seen on the slow-motion replay. and even the commentators confirmed that on the replay. It's definitely not Jordan's fault that this happened, but I haven't seen such poor judging on such an important competition in a long time. The Romanian Federation worked so hard to get the gymnasts back to this level of competition, only for them to be wronged like this.

If Anything Sabrina will get a medal (the other Romanian) because she had a nutural deduction for stepping out of bounds when she didn't. If the judges had done their job correctly, Sabrina would have been 3rd, followed by Jordan in 4th, and Ana in 5th. This is to say this is not on the gymnasts or on the coaches. This comes down to the judges making 2 huge mistakes.

Jordan knows her routine was not the best. She missed twice on landing cleanly. Even she knew it while at the end of her routine that she just did okay. Ana....did a much better job. And, for that poor girl to break down after they took her medal away is just robbery. They should have just awarded Jordan and Ana the Bronze medal. This has happened before on sharing a medal, so that would have been the best call. Or....Jordan should have stepped up and given her medal to Ana out of good sportsmanship, because Jordan is going home, and it will cross her mind that she won by an Inquiry.

It’s not necessarily about the cleanest. But if you have a higher level of difficulty you will get scored higher. Hence for example Simone stepped out twice and once with two feet and still got silver and almost Gold tbh because her level of difficulty is so high. Jordan’s level of difficulty is higher than the other ladies. Also, what they inquired about is a skill that she fully completed that they underscored. They took a second look determined yes, she fully completed it and gave her full credit. This has nothing to do with her landings. Jordan won fair and square just like Aliya Mustafina won bronze in 2012, and Aly won floor bronze in 2012 and anyone else whose ever won based off an inquiry. It’s legal and part of the sport. I like what the Romanian former gymnast said, and it’s what I’ve been saying - execute better so there’s no room for interpretation. Maybe add a tumbling pass. Andrade and Biles do 4, while most of the other gymnasts do 3. If Andrade had gone out of bounds like she often does, she would have still gotten silver even with Biles’s mistakes; however she controlled what she could and ended up winning. Lesson for Barbosu, and good luck to her in the future.

Chiles originally only lost because of a miscalculation by the jury. This error was corrected. She has now lost in court because the complaint was filed 3!!! seconds too late. Chiles was in fact the better gymnast. And has now lost because of a formality. If you call that justice, you must be a clown. Even Barbosu should know that Chiles was better. If such a mistake had been made in the calculation of her difficulty, she would rightly be complaining just as much.

This happened because of 2 judging errors. The first was that Sabrina never stepped out of bounds and should have been in 3rd to start with. The second was not giving Jordan the right amount of difficulty to start with. But it's over and done, and the only thing that could happen is it gets reviewed, and Sabrina gets a bronze medal, too. They don't take medals away for their mistake because it isn't the athletes' fault. Had nothing to do with favoritism for the US.

Honestly this isn't the first time the USA gets a suspicious bronze out of what clearly smells like favoritism. There was that bronze for Jade Carey on vault when the North Korean competitor did pretty much a similar level of difficulty, stuck one landing and hard better air position with no leg-separation and was displaced to fourth. Also in uneven bars finals, Nina Derwael - the Tokio gold medalist on this apparatus - was sent below Suni Lee even with a superior bar routine. I have nothing against US gymnast, in fact I cheer for them in competitions, but I do have something against biased judging. Every athlete deserves the same fair judging.

Big fan of gymnastics. These incidents happened before in different sports not only gymnastics, and they will continue to happen. It doesnt matter what rules, how you regulates, and/or who is judging. Humans are biased: religions, politics, money, nationality, personal opinion..etc, not to mention the effects of things like stress, tiredness, lack of sleep..etc on the judges. The only way to insure fairness in these kinds of sports, is to let machines do the judging. Now with AI this is possible. You still need humans, but they are there just in case machines get crazy, and these humans are merely engineers and programmers who have only general idea of the sport, not sporting officials. Not the best solution, but machines are certainly less biased than humans, and they dont get tired..etc.

You clearly don’t understand how gymnastics is judged. The score is based on difficulty and execution. Sticking a landing on an easier pass will not make up for the lack in difficulty. Biles’ passes are so difficult that it gives her a cushion in execution. A bad landing doesn’t negate all the difficulty completed in the air. Also each skill has a set score, just because something looks more complex doesn’t necessarily mean it’s more difficult.

The final score is an accumulation of the difficulty and execution scores. A more difficult routine can make up for a lower execution in some cases. Simone has 4 tumbling passes where most gymnasts have 3 passes. Her passes are also some of the most difficult which give her point advantage over most gymnasts which is why she could get silver despite her “mistakes”. @@reynair Gymnasts know their routines very well. It' not something they've done at the Olympics for the first time. They know their routine, they know what they corrected, they've done those routines before and got scores for them before. Sabrina with this exact same routine got a score of 6.0 d and 7.500 e at the Europeans. Now she should've have gotten even a better execution score, intead she got 5.9 d , still 7.500 e, and 0.1 penalty. So she got -0.1 at difficulty with no explanation whatsoever, she still got 7.500 at execution with a better performance, so another - 0.1,0.3 there, and a -0.1 penalty for something that still nobody saw or has any prof of. That's somewere between 0.3-0.5 point stolen from Sabrina Voinea. Oh, and the review for Chiles was non existant because it's basically imposibile for someone to file a complain, to rewatch the routine, to judge it again, to anounce it to the staff and to change it it in under 2 minutes. That's imposibile. What I can hope for now, is for at lest those judges to be suspendat. But after I saw there olympics I doubt it. I mean after that thing with no air conditioning, and that weak food meniu, and bad beds, you can be sure that some of them already know about it and got reservations in time at hotels. I mean, how come some found free rooms at hotel în Paris, when it's hard to find rooms there without reservation even without the olympics. There were already reserved with like a year before, be sure of that 😂. But that's another discussion. Well, anyway, now it's over so have a good day.

I don't disagree with the landing not looking great but Jordan's combos had a higher skill level and it's not like she fell nor did she go out of bounds- they just weren't artistically as good as what she's done in the past. But the degree of difficulty deserves to be rated accurately. This is absolutely on the judges and why they kept underscoring events and routines. They need to get it right the first time. This just happened in swimming to American Katie Walsh. She was awarded the silver and then the medal was reversed because they realized she turned incorrectly when finishing a lap. Can't imagine how crushed she was. I would have loved to see an outcome where they both gymnast were given the Bronze medal or that the Romanian gymnast was awarded a Commendation or something because that correction was devastating.

Sabrina had one of the highest difficulties out there and better execution and they put her in in the bottom half, with an uncalled for OOB for good measure. The US are notorious for lodging enquiries and theirs seem to succeed, while other countries have problems getting them through

Honestly, who really cares about the truth? They were all bad. Gymnastics died with the last generation of athletes from the Eastern Europe and the old USA.
