Yayyy! You go girl!! I'm younger than you, but I still know that it's hard to do gymnastics when you're an adult. I myself started when I was 18 and some skills were seriously hard to get. Kudos and respect to you, now I know that I can still be a great gymnast one day :)

Gymnastics is_ Fun Yeah, I know they are bad? And I know I fall a lot? That's the point of showing the progress. I know I'm not going to the Olympics, considering I'm 31 and learned all this shit as an adult with no previous experience? Haters to the left please.

I just recently quit gymnastics(I also had the dream to go to the Olympics) and seeing you makes me really want to go back, wow it's kind of crazy but I quit for ballet too since I had been working hard for years on my beam back walk over(I eventually got it, but not on the super high beam, so that meant I couldn't compete). Such a coincidence, I wonder if there will be this available to me when I'm an adult! Soo cool! You are pretty good!
@squirrelspank9 жыл бұрын
There's a lot more recreational gymnastics classes popping up! I've seen a lot for teenagers for tumbling and cheer and stuff that look really fun but sadly I am too old for those. I like that there is no pressure to do anything I don't want to do and I can work at my own speed, I feel like when I was a kid gymnastics was very hard mentally because I am afraid of a lot of stuff (back walkovers on the beam, for one, haha!!) and it really set me back but now that it's just for fun, I can learn at my own pace and that really helps!! Same with ballet - I danced from 4-18 and thought I'd skip college and join a company but that did not happen for me, haha. But I take adult classes now and it's fun and not stressful... such a different atmosphere. I hope you get to go back some day and have fun doing it!!!
@rainbowbecca33409 жыл бұрын
I also learnt ballet then quitter and now I'm in gym but I really miss ballet!
@squirrelspank9 жыл бұрын
Open adult ballet classes are easier to find than open gym for sure! A lot of ballet companies will offer open level classes, and I actually have friends that take ballet at the local rec center here, they even have a recital!!

Once a gymnast always a gymnast. I have never found another sport that beats gymnastics. I am a former elite gymnast from uk. I still teach gymnastic and have recently started strength training. I want to come to your class!!! unfortunately I am living in Borneo at present. 50 in March would love to be able to do a back flip again, I can still hold a mean handstand, cartwheel and arab string.
@siggy89829 жыл бұрын
that cool I mean I get mental blocks as well being a gymnast like I had a mental black with my fly away and back hand spring on beam but at least your old and you are still in shape and doing all these things you don't see that often

@squirrelspank9 жыл бұрын
+Lets Talk It's at a gym in the Los Angeles area :) You should look for gyms that offer open adult work out and adult instructional classes in your area - I found mine by going to Yelp and searching for "gymnastics" and then going to every gym's website to look for their schedule. You can also call around, some have age restrictions (my class you have to be over 18, some gyms you have to be under a certain age for insurance purposes), there are lots that offer them!
