1:48 Do you know that Shelby Hilton's fall (the pink Leo girl who fell on her neck after a double pike) was in reality a good thing? Indeed, she made tests to see if something was broken and they found out that she had a tumor. Thanks to this fall, they were able to treat her really fast what is really rare and today, she's a cancer's survivor :) Sorry if there are any faults, I'm french Edit : I found out that the cancer came back and that Shelby couldn't fight it... She unfortunately died in April 2019... RIP.

To have your dream, your passion ripped away from you in a split second, in a blink of an eye, it's more than just heartbreaking. These girls worked hard for years, maybe even decades, and everything was just gone in a heartbeat. It's always baffling to me how people have so much love, so much passion for a particular sport that they throw safety out the window just to do it. My respect for athletes has risen, they're seriously hard-core for doing what they love and not caring about the damage it can do.

Exactly. I watch Makayla's vault all of the time, and you can see how happy she was to land it and be at the Olympics in general. It's sad that she had to give up something that she was so passionate about, because of him. She said that she gave up gymnastics because she wasn't excited about it anymore, and it took a toll on her body. I honestly think it was because she felt that she couldn't just come forward and tell people why she didn't enjoy gymnastics anymore. It also makes you wonder if any of those other girls from different countries are going through the same thing, but can't say anything.

Garbage yes, obviously. And it’s pretty annoying how some women AND some men think that all of us are the same, and that all males think women are weak. But that’s not true. There are women that are much stronger than men. But on average, men are born stronger than woman. It’s facts. It doesn’t mean that we believe they are weak, we are scientifically and genetically born stronger than them, and you can’t deny that, because it’s true. That just happens to be our species. Think about it. Humans are animals. The human male is genetically stronger than the human female. Our species just happens to have the ability to be extremely smart, and able to talk. There are many, many, many other animal species where the female is genetically born stronger than the male, but again, it just so happens that I am a human, and you are a human. And it is not either of our faults individually that the human male was born stronger than the female. Who knows, maybe in hundreds of thousands of years the human female will be born genetically stronger than the male. That’s just how evolution works.

So fast forward to floor or whatever I forget and we're trying to get our flying barrel roll thing idk what it's called. But I was attempting it, and fell on my neck. No coah was watching me, so I just sat there, neck hurting. Luckily, my dad saw this and got the coaches attention, and she came and helped me. Let's just say I stopped going to that place after that.

Gymnastics in itself is so taxing on the body, and to see these girls go through the pain to get to the Olympics and one thing messes them up is so heartbreaking, as a past gymnast, you work so hard for competition and you beat yourself up if you make the slightest mistake. Years of practices down the drain in seconds, it crushes your heart.

Gymnasts are expected to get up after a fall and keep going like it didn't hurt at all. This proves that nobody is perfect and that there are times when in gymnastics you fall and cant get up like it doesn't hurt. I have been a gymnastics coach for about 5 years now and have seen my fair share of injuries from hyper-extended knees to landing directly on the head. Its a very dangerous sport and this video proves that its not easy!

At least the girl at 2:15 knew immediately what to do which was land straight and did not hurt anything.

0:37 I know that one. When you’re about to keep going but realize you actually hurt yourself. Every time I hurt myself and a coach comes over I always say I’m ok I’m ok I’m ok
