I don't see any reason why Gyokeres wouldn't choose Utd over being a bench player at City.Playing under his former manager in a system he's used to. Only competition for his signature(from an English side) that would be realistic is from Arsenal considering how much need they're in of a striker.

Unpopular opinion but if Zirkzee and Hojlund keep playing like in their last game as nº9 we dont need necessarily Gyokeres. I think we need much more a LWB that is as good as Amad on the right against smaller teams and a box to box midfielder or playmaker for 8. I would see more easily Rúben Amorim trying to sign Hjulmand from Sporting than Gyokeres

I say there’s a 50/50 chance of getting gyokeres if we are getting used or other clubs go for him there’s alternatives for him, delap, cunha, Omar marmoosh plus bigger clubs like city has an fiancial advantage to get gyokeres it isn’t the end of the world if we don’t get him if zerkzie starts being consistent and obi martin coming through still isn’t the end of the world we could potentially have options but we need to back zerkzie and hoijland first as fans I definitely see a great player in zerkzie look at Jackson at Chelsea for eg inconsistent last season and started to grow

gyokeres at city would really not make sense alvares offered something very different to haaland when it comes to linkup and dropping deep. gyokeres coming in would really offer mostly similar things to haaland and doesnt really solve their problems.
