That symbol in the flag is also the symbol of Sicily, the Italian island. It’s called “trinacria”….didn’t know the two islands shared the same flag, that’s curious. 😊

This is amazing guitar work. It's a great pleasure to listen to you. You both groove like hell. I have two questions. You both hold the pick differently. Is there a special pick technique for solo playing in Gypsy Jazz? I saw an integrated microphone in one of the guitars. I haven't had good experiences with that and a few years ago I installed the "Lyric" system from LR Baggs in my Martin HD 35 and my flamenco guitar. It's the best system I've ever tested. Wouldn't that be something for a Gypsy guitar as well, or do you need a special pickup system for it?
@GypsyJazzSecretsАй бұрын
I play with an unorthodox right hand picking technique but Django and most Gypsy Jazz players use the rest stoke or Gypsy picking technique. The Lyric sounds really good for sure would like to try that!

@@GypsyJazzSecrets You have to be careful because there are two versions, one for nylon classical/flamenco guitars and one for metal strings, i.e. western guitars and gypsy guitars. They look the same but have a different EQ curve.
