Gypsy has a chromosome deletion disorder, called "1q21.1 chromosome deletion syndrome", explaining her head shape, unusual facial features, her vision issues, her salivary gland issues, her intellectual and physical disabilities, and more, and the discovery and official diagnosis of this disorder proves that her mother did NOT have Munchausen by Proxy - at least to the degree that is being claimed; the issues that Clauddine (Dee Dee) sought medical help for were real, and a result of Gypsy's genetic condition. Clauddine knew that something was fundamentally wrong with Gypsy and her development, compared to other children; it is my understanding that Gypsy was diagnosed after the death of Clauddine, but I am not 100% sure. However, it's interesting how a corpse can be diagnosed with a syndrome - unable to testify for themselves. Yes, Clauddine milked Gypsy's condition so that she could gain money and gain sympathy, but you all must remember that Gypsy was not entirely mentally or physically well, and she was 'in' on the scamming. I highly encourage all of you to research the 1q21.1 syndrome, and compare the facial features and symptoms of those individuals to Gypsy Rose.
