Man, thank you DB for being so candid with his fallout with NBC. I know he’s not really the kind of guy to spill beans like this, but it’s very appreciated. It’s sad to hear his back was against the wall since the moment he arrived. He was a perfect candidate for the play-by-play spot considering he was also a pro racer. All I’ve ever heard from fans is how he made RC better in the booth. They really made a good pair and it sucks it never stuck. Loved his post-race track walks as well. Sad to not have him anymore, but glad he found something that really makes him happy.

Who the heck doesn't like DB! From his personality, sense of humor and fan interactions there is nothing to not like. As far as on-track reporter he's by far the best we've seen in a long time. Weege and Daniel should carry all moto and SX broadcast.

Daniel Blair hang on to that girl she’s a keeper. To achieve any goal in life requires commitment it requires effort and often it requires risk. Motocross is a great example of this. Risk comes with consequences the great ones overcome all these things. Congratulations champ

RC is the greatest motocrosser of all time. He is terrible as a commentator: he stumbles, repeats himself constantly, and doesn’t seem like he has the ability to verbalize all the moto knowledge that’s in his head. Then there’s the insipid Will Christian. She’s probably nice, but she makes me want to mute my television. Blair was great and deserved better. After all this time you can still see his pain in his eyes. Jase you’re the best by far. Keep doing your thing!

I love DB’s heart in a difficult situation. It’s obvious he has personal aspirations but coming to the knowledge that in broadcasting you may have a dozen great shows over a 10-15 year career but that pales in comparison to having a hand in scouting and developing talent that will have an impact on the entire sport for twice as long. When he looks back in 20/30 years it won’t be a few great broadcasts it will be 40-60 people that were impacted by him that will be involved in racing, be it racers that were great, that went into broadcasting, became team managers, scouts, coaches, etc. This type of impact will improve our sport far more and far longer and is the kind of impact all pro racers should aspire to have.

In my 30 + years in the TV world as a producer/writer/director, I can tell you without a doubt that at every place I worked there was someone who didn't want me to succeed. And this was after the Emmy noms and the WGA awards and the success of Johnny Tsunami and Motocrossed. it didn't matter. There was always someone at each place that for some reason wanted to see me fail and went out of their way to make things way more difficult for me and eventually you just kind of get sick of it and walk away. when it becomes to much to take. Daniel, you were the absolute cream of the crop when it comes to SX/MX announcing and hosting. Whatever the reason this person had it in for you, trust me, it was NOT your fault, had nothing to do with you. These folks in these middle management jobs positions are so terrified of losing their own jobs that they make it miserable and difficult for everyone around them. Welcome to big time show biz! LOL. Anyway, love your work. Glad things are going well for you. You deserve it bro.

Blair is the best guy in the booth. He brings relevant information and controls his emotions. JW can't keep his emotions in check and reminds me of a cheerleader rather than letting the audience enjoy the action. He's at 11, we need him around 6. A hard lesson for us all to understand and maybe more than ever today especially for someone like yourself and I have been there many times and made peace with it is understanding this! If no one sees you as an enemy It means you are not important enough If no one sees you as a threat It means you are not strong enough If none talks behind your back It means you are not outstanding enough If someone is taking advantage of you It means you have value If someone isolates you It means you are strong enough If someone imitates you It means you are charismatic If someone slanders you It means you are too prominent If someone mocks you That means you have unique thinking If someone confronts you That means you are superior to them. There are lots of meanings like this, but that is life, many follow, to lead and care is to bleed. Never give never surrender always be true to yourself which is what you have shown DB don’t sell out, it will mean you are often on the outer but those around you like your wife your true friends are real, they aren’t fake, want something from you or use you for something! You will excel in whatever you do and because of that people will do the above to you! They only win if you sellout! You didn’t don’t forget that…

NBC truly has no idea what they’re doing with the camera work. They don’t anticipate when passes for the lead are coming. They focus on some guy crashing in 19th rather than cover a pass for podium. Close up’s way to tight on the bike-you can’t tell the pace or the flow of the race because only the bike is in the shot-bad. Almost like doing a waist-up shot on a boxer-no context at all.

Peacock coverge sucks imho. Disjointed, wierd 'We will be back soon' moments, soooo many commercials and then just when a battle is developing they cut to a planned midrace segment to 'grow' the sport or who knows what. I also seem to experience unusual buffering and/ or delays only with Peacock...
