"Did I win that moto Levi?!"

Round one of the 2024 Pro Motocross Championship took place this weekend at Fox Raceway. We sat down with the podium finishers in the 250 class. Haiden Deegan was involved in a somewhat controversial win after an off track incident that looked like it would hand early title rival Kitchen the win. Tom Vialle was also involved with an off track incident but earned enough points at Pala to land on the box in third.

You can always tell when an interviewer asked great questions....mainly because the riders have a lot to say in response. Jase is awesome. Its so obvious that he has a deep passion and interest in the sport. That, and his knowledge of the sport, results in interviews that make the other interviewers look unprepared and uninformed. And you can see it often in the fact that the riders seem uncomfortable and dont really have much to say in response to other interviewer's questions. Keep it up Jase. We need legit people like you in the sport.

I think the fact that all these guys are running a sand tire on a hard pack track is a very clear example that there is something wrong with the track set up.

They are running a mini paddle for the start so all that the track guys have to do is rip the start straight (much) less.

Going off track is an rider error, just like in other sports if you get a foul/penalty there always some sort of repercussion. I think going off track you should lose 2 seconds, but in reality they're only losing a couple tenths so basically breaking even like it never happened

What I'll never understand is why they moved to the metal starting grates, but then don't groom the rut in front of the gate after each moto, (or round of heats etc. at SX). I agree Dunlop already sponsors like 90% of the riders, just give them the contract for a spec tire. Then can also keep the knob size down and help keep the ruts from getting so deep as well.

I'm all about sx/mx following suit like f1 racing filling complaints to stewards but in honest opinion why is kawasaki standing up for vialle... why not his crew file complaint... just saying... someone is always going to say something

They should announce a tyre choice for each round and make it mandatory sand track /scoop Hard pack /Bobby then all equal and not risking there life on a hard pack track with a scoop just for a start advantage

Personally i never rode on a scoop tire and also personally i never entered a Pro motocross race , just an amateur race when i was age 12 and i almost got lapped ,so personally i dont think a scoop tire would really help me that much ?

I think that is one of the best questions you could ask! Like you said every other form of Motorsports has a tire rule and I think it makes it unfair for these guys to have to run a starting tire for a racing tire we are looking for ways to make the sport safer yet Davey and feld won't help or pay to try to make it safer. All they need to do is say is southwick, redbud, millville you can use the scoop otherwise you can only use the normal knobby. I also think it would be cool if they allowed each team one scoop tire that they can use at One race per year of there choosing besides southwick, redbud, and millville. I think this would make it safer and giving each team one other race of there choosing to use a scoop would give motocross a little more excitement something for us fans to get excited about also not knowing when or where there going to bust out there day with the scoop!? If you read this let me know what you think?

or he's just playing mind games to make him override and then mess up. I don't like Deegan's attitude all that much, but mind games can work in this sport. How many guys go on a tear until they have bad race and then its one bad race after another after that. if they are physically fine, you have to say its mental if they stay off the pace. mental games are part of it. If two guys are giving it their all and one guy pisses the other off enough to ride over his head and make mistakes, its a valid tactic.

I think this is a case of Kitchen not liking Deegan and Deegan wanting to twist the knife and be a bit of a jerk to a guy who recently left his team. I think this will motivate Kitchen to ride harder and make Deegan eat his word. Can't wait to see that.
