What a lovely piece by a composer I now nothing about. Even after 81 years I am still amazed at how little I know.

This composer and serenade are totally new to me. The one thing I have to say is, this is very beautiful music. Now that I've heard this, I will look up more of Beliczay's music. It's worth investigating. Anyways, thank you so much for uploading this wonderful music.

thank you very much Stefano. I live in Mérida, Yucatán México and I play the Viola in two string chamber orchestras. And the thing I love the must in life is music. the only regretable thing is that life is too short and I dont'd have enough life time to enjoy playing so much musical beauty such as this serenade. I hope we'll soon play this wonderful piece from the Hungarian composer, teacher and engineer Giula von Beliczay. Although in this part of the world is not easy to find parts, I usually copy the score and create the parts in order for us to perform it and let the people know about such amazing piece. just wonderful. Such a great counterpoint and great structure. easy to play and easy to listen. thanks again Stefano and congratulations.

Thank you so much for the upload, I don't think I would have ever come across this wonderful little piece otherwise!

This is a mildly awkward encounter for me, as I've never heard of this composer before even though he's Hungarian - plus he was a teacher at my former alma-mater in the 19th-century. I guess he hasn't become quite the household name despite that, unlike Dohnányi, Leo Weiner, Mosonyi or even Volkmann. Speaking of Leo Weiner, I also have a score-video suggestion for you: his Op. 3 Serenade. It's wonderful music.

Don't worry, I've also had never heard about Beliczay before someone suggested this piece in a comment. :D I'm taking a look at Weiner's Serenade, sounds very interesting, I'm surely going to make that video soon! Thanks!

The my ears, at (A) and elsewhere, the strings are playing 8th-dotted quarter rather than 16th-double dotted quarter. I'm not sure it makes a difference and I question why Beliczay made it 16th note - double dotted quarter. But if he is certain of what he wrote, the players should be playing the 16th note very, very short.... not to be confused with an 8th note.
