The societies create a lot of distraction and misrepresentation of the motives of those around you. The societies themselves are actually quite a small % of the population and they've mastered the art of psychological manipulation of masses of people without much work on their part...I wasted years suspecting every other person or so.

GM blundered 2 Times agains lower rated. And those blunderes were terrible! GM should never miss Rg5 nor Ne2... Not to mention he quickly Exchanged pieces. He should keep game complicated.

The only problem with the time difference is that if you do choose to use your time wisely the opponent can think on your clock and so you have to think fast yourself.

GZA played so fast that it was basically a blitz game, and he was keeping pace extremely well! After he dealt with the first queen side attack, I think he had great chances to win on time if he had slowed down a little bit.

Yeah he definitely would have because he would have spotted the move to take the rook with check at 4:59 and could have easily won the endgame, especially with Maurice having such little time to consider moves

@@CyrilAndPriscilla no I think you’ve missed it. Maurice pushes d6 at 4:59, GZA should then play rook to g5 to check the king and win the rook, but GZA misses this and plays rook d2 at 5:00. By 5:01 white has already played another move (rook d5) and the position is long gone. When Maurice plays d6 you can see the eval bar suddenly go to blacks favour.

I don't know why GZA was rushing his moves so much. He had more than enough time to think. Maurice was rushing out of necessity.

All the time GZA spends thinking is time that Maurice has to think and can use to come up with better moves. If they both spend one minute then Maurice loses, if he spends 5 minutes then Maurice can figure out how to get a more comfortable position or how play better technically

@@joedorben3504 Sure, but towards the end, GZA was just throwing out panicked moves. He still had over 7 minutes left when he lost. It wouldn't have hurt him to take at least 10 seconds to think over his next move. Having more time to think than the GM is the whole point of this challenge.
