The societies create a lot of distraction and misrepresentation of the motives of those around you. The societies themselves are actually quite a small % of the population and they've mastered the art of psychological manipulation of masses of people without much work on their part...I wasted years suspecting every other person or so.

@@CyrilAndPriscilla no I think you’ve missed it. Maurice pushes d6 at 4:59, GZA should then play rook to g5 to check the king and win the rook, but GZA misses this and plays rook d2 at 5:00. @joedorben3504
@joedorben3504 4 жыл бұрын
All the time GZA spends thinking is time that Maurice has to think and can use to come up with better moves. If they both spend one minute then Maurice loses, if he spends 5 minutes then Maurice can figure out how to get a more comfortable position or how play better technically
@LauncherSpiderMk7
@LauncherSpiderMk7 4 жыл бұрын
@@joedorben3504 Sure, but towards the end, GZA was just throwing out panicked moves. He still had over 7 minutes left when he lost. It wouldn't have hurt him to take at least 10 seconds to think over his next move. Having more time to think than the GM is the whole point of this challenge.
