Because there was no development for it whatsoever. I watched the show twice now and the only time I can think of where she shows any sort of romantic interest in him at all is the very very beginning of Shippuden when they first see each other. Other than that, it was just him saving her life and her attempting to trick him into thinking she loved him and him saving her life again and her still telling people in the war that she already has a man while thinking of Sasuke. There is no reason for NaruSaku to be canon. It would be horrible. The worst part is, when i started watching the show, I was rooting for Naruto. I was like, "Yeah, prove how awesome you are." But by the Kage Summit I was not only not rooting for it but actively rooting against it. I was more relieved than anything when I found out he ends up with hinata. At least that ship makes sense. I would actually be entirely behind NaruSaku if she just started to be interested under the bridge at the kage summit. If at this moment she realized Sasuke was wrong for her and started liking Naruto I would be fine with it. This didn't happen and she constantly went of after sasuke even after he tried to kill her twice in the span of 5 minutes.

@lmao They had less interaction, but there were a few very important moments I would like to point out. 1. Naruto went into nine tails cloak when he saw pain stab hinata which means he was angrier at that than he was when he saw the entirety of Konoha destroyed. 2. She was the one who got him out of his funk in the war after Neji died when he was ready to give up 3. "naruto literally doesn't notice hinata. at all. and when he does, he calls her 'weird.' " No he doesn't. All the way back during the Chunin exams he says that he used to think she was weird but now "kinda likes people like her". As far as more interaction goes, why does that matter? Sakura showed exactly zero interest in Naruto at all after the first episode of Shippuden when she asks if she looks more like a woman now. She is constantly thinking about Sasuke even to the point of denying someone's advances because she already has someone while thinking of Sasuke. This, mind you, is after he has already made 3 attempts on her life. She also lied to Naruto saying she loved him when she didn't at the Kage summit. She constantly ignored him and in a bunch of cases punched him. She also gets bothered that Sasuke didn't even notice her while they were fighting KAGUYA. It definitely could've made more sense, but I don't think it did with everything that happened. If she would've kept that energy from episode 1 of Shippuden I would be on board, but she went back to Sasuke. Naruto might not have spent much time with Hinata, but they spent a decent bit of time, and there is even a scene in the Last where Naruto gets told that there is a difference between romantic love and the love you have for food.

@@minimanimal3539 she truly did develop feelings for Naruto throughout Shippuden, from worrying about him when they realized what The Akatsuki was doing with the Jinchiriki, from crying for him seeing how for he was willing to go for Sasuke, not mention Yamato was going to tell her that she loves him before getting interrupted from Naruto regaining consciousness, and so on and so forth, and just so you know she wasn't lying about her feelings for him, he just sent the lie about Sasuke and that was it, and of course Naruto would go berserk when he saw Hinata got stabbed he went berserk on Orochimaru about Sasuke, not to mention that is Sensei and his village were completely eradicated by the very person who stabbed Hinata so of course that would have been the last straw, you toxic NaruHina shippers read too much into that situation, and also read the Manga the anime over exaggerates the whole Sakura punching Naruto thing, and you guys really need to get a clue, NaruHina as I will say again had no foundation whatsoever because why bother making Naruto The Last? And you guys keep coming on these NaruSaku amvs and steering up all this 💩 because you know that your ship which had no foundation was used as a plot device that continue the story of the Otsutsuki, so stop taking it out on them.

Kish rly fucked up big time honestly. I'm pretty certain he was heading the NaruSaku way but at some point he sold out , no other explanation. For almost the entire series he was developing the bond between Naruto and Sakura and it wasn't like a borther-sister relationship development. He gave so many hints about a romantic connection but in the end he sold out for money. Seriously fucked up the series big time. Not only pairing wise but wiriting too. Ever since Pain arc he went so fucking downhill. As if someone else was writing the story after that arc...

@@AnimeFreak10000 well ain't that a bald-faced lie, to be honest ever since the end of the Gaara retrieval arc he's been in my opinion slowly losing creative control over his own story, after the Pain Arc I think he lost creative control completely, felt like an Asian Kathleen Kennedy was the one right in the story from here on out, but during the end I think he had a little bit creative control because, Black Zetsu represents the people who were taking creative control from him, and Kaguya represents NaruHina with SasuSaku, showing that he was not liking what was about to happen to what was once his story.
